Anyone interested in ( pop and other ) music : how come we have so many great hits , to do with X-mas ( not least Kirsty McCall'/Shane's "Fairytale of New York" , Band Aid's Do They know it's Xmas , Slade, Mud and all that other lot...Boney M included , even ) ; but , Easter , being arguably : THE geatest Christian festival ....does anyone know any good pop/rock songs about it ? or : any opinions ?

Christmas and New Year's Eve are islands of warmth and joy immersed in harsh and heartless darkness of Winter, while Easter is just another pleasant Spring weekend. Also, birth and miracle of life are a nicer theme for a song than death and resurrection. .

Easter is great!

Yeah, that's why there are so many Easter songs Promise of eternal life in context of Easter might be appealing within a Christian song, to the audience who listen to that kind of music, which are a chosen few. .

(Abba's Easter rendition of Money money money):... Bunny Bunny bunny, it's not funny, it's a hot bunnies world. A couple of days ago there was a Bunny on the tram downtown and a grumpy ZET inspector came along and told it to hop it. The bunny was so traumatised by the encounter it had to go to the hospital for a hopperation.
