DUBROVNIK, CROATIA – The dead body found yesterday evening on the Boninovo rocks has been identified as that as a 32-year-old Finnish citizen, Dubrovnik police confirmed. The Finnish man was identified by his friend.
The Finnish man had been reported missing at around 2pm and police immediately began searching for the missing person. His body was found on the Boninovo rocks at 6:20pm.
The investigative judge who arrived at the scene ordered for an autopsy to establish the exact cause of death of the Finnish tourist. The body of Australian backpacker Britt Lapthorne was found in the sea in the same exact area in October, 18 days after she went missing.
Finnish Man Found Dead on Rocks in Dubrovnik?
Despite there were two separate autopsies done on Britt Lapthorne, in Croatia as well as in Australia, the cause of her death still remains a mystery. Britt’s father, Dale Lapthorne, revealed to us some details of the autopsy done in Australia that states that organisms that live only on the seabed were found on her remains, which is why believes weights of some kind were used to keep her body on the bottom of the sea after she was thrown in.
We have assembled all the information so far and put together a scenario. I think that now we know
The disappearance of the Finnish citizen was reported at 2pm at the police station in Dubrovnik, reported the police. After that, they said, all measures and actions were taken to find the person.what happened to Britt in Croatia. But that is just a theory. The last firm evidence is the autopsy findings. If you only knew the details of the autopsy report, you would ask yourselves, among other things, how is it possible for a body to lay on the bottom of the sea for 18 days. We only brought back to Australia 20 kilograms of remains of Britt’s body and alive, she weighed 50 kilograms. I am certain that a big part of her body is somewhere on the bottom of the sea. I am 80 percent convinced of the scenario that somebody threw Britt’s body in the sea, weighed down, so it would not float, Dale Lapthorne told us. Despite the fact that Britt’s case is still being investigated by Dubrovnik police, Dale Lapthorne is convinced that the police are trying to cover up the fact that his daughter had been killed to protect Dubrovnik’s tourism.
Hushed up for tourism
We have been getting the same report by the Dubrovnik police this entire time. They say the investigation is underway. The fact that they found no evidence pointing to an accidental death which open suspicions on the possibility of murder, that is really shameful. They obviously think that by doing nothing they are protecting their tourism. But they should know that tourists coming to Dubrovnik do not feel safe any more, and that is because of the police sloppiness, because it looks like they have no control over the area. I think it would have been much better for tourism had they solved the case, Dale Lapthorne told us.
The new case of a dead tourist in Dubrovnik also supports the allegations of foreign media that wrote, for months after Britt’s death, about a well-organised criminal group in Dubrovnik that is kidnapping people and that the police are covering up the crimes for tourism. If it is determined that there was foul play in the death of the Finnish tourist, the investigation of the allegations will only be a matter of time.
