Hi,
Just came across this forum which is fantastic.
I'll be arriving in Zagreb on the 16th and fly out of Dubrovnik on the 28th. I decided against an 8 day cruise due to the late port arrivals and no ON deck cabins, but I would still like to do some island hopping in April if possible. I'm interested in Brac, Hvar and Korcula. I'd also like to see Zadar, Split and possibly Mostar. I'd appreciate any recommendations given the April ferry schedule.
Also, I am thinking of renting a car from Zagreb to Split and then using ferries to get to Dubrovnik or are buses the better option.
I'm really looking forward to the Dalmation coast.

It's a little tricky trying to do Split - Brac - Hvar - Korcula - Dubrovnik in April. (There's a catamaran service that does actually operate this route...but that starts in May.) You can do Split - Hvar, then Hvar - Korcula (both Jadrolinija - www.jadrolinija.hr/en/sailing-schedule/local-lines-01-01---28-05-2015-28-09---31-12-2015 ) and from Korcula you can get a bus to Dubrovnik. To include Brac you would either have to go Split - Brac - Split to get to Hvar Town, or doing a slightly more complicated route (Split to Bol; Bol to Jelsa on Hvar, then Jelsa to Hvar Town to get the catamaran to Korcula...)

Hi Anna,
Thank you for the response and I ended-up planning the Split - Hvar - Korcula - Dubrovnik.
We decided against a car since at least Hvar - Korcula is a catamaran which means we will take a public bus from Zagreb to Zadar and Zadar to Split. It is a good idea to book the buses and ferries in advance online? Or give the time of year can we purchase these tickets 1-2 days before?
Thanks again and looking forward to visiting Croatia.

This time of year it's fine to just buy once there, even just before your journey would be okay. (But a few days before won't harm, of course!) Enjoy your trip!
