I am currently on a shared borehole water supply which serves most properties in my small village. It is not too reliable, the water can go off for a few hours to, in the worst case 10 days. There is normal town water available in the street so I decided to get connected. I enquired in the winter but realised they probably need temperatures above freezing for digging trenches, pouring concrete for meter manholes or whatever. I had to put them off twice because I was away from home house-sitting. I just had an email from Komunalije, the company concerned:
"Dear Sir, I am writing to you with the excuse that we can not make a connection to the city water because our machine driver has stopped working with the firm and we are not able to excavate until we find another driver of the machine. By this I ask you for understanding and to acknowledge my apology. We will let you know when we will be able to make a connection to the city water. Thank you in advance. Hrvoje."
Anyone want a job as a minidigger driver?
