Croam: I do work in the industry and I do know people. However, New York is a tough town and no matter what you have to spend your time 'pounding the pavement' to gain any amount of respect. You are just beginning. Keep in touch and as time goes by all this networking will help. You would be surprised how many young people approach me to 'set them up'. Unfortunately-it has to be earned and that takes a great deal of hard work.
Keep at it. Ciao!

well what it is that you do? i offered to send you a reel and resume. I guess in NYC you have to be in the club before they even consider your reel and resume. You don't even know what I've done. Thats cool though. I'm not a beggar so thanks anyway. ciao

i dont want to be "set up", i want to work. i find it hard to believe you work in the industry...unless youve been in it so long and your so rich that you don't deal with the little people...thats cool. I understand how it works...i'm not a child....but you also then understand that there are million dollar ideas waiting to be found. I guess your livin' pretty d**n high in NYC... already made your mills... i can barely see you from the clouds your so high up. Good for you. I'm sure you pounded the pavement as well. Down here i'm making movies not kissing peoples asses in offices and "pounding the pavement" to get the respect of some loser who won't have that job in two weeks. Thats how we do it down here in Hollywood East. Independent baby. Cheers

Croam: Anger gets you no where. Neither does sarcasm. I guessed right-you are not ready for the big leagues yet. Time will tell. Put the emotions aside and do the work. Your talent and effort will pay off eventually.
I spent my years 'pounding the pavement'. I spend my earnings providing for those I love and giving back to the community.
I have found a wealth of information on web sites like this and it helps to expand on characters I have developed.
Again-good luck to you. Use "Croam" somewhere in your work and I will know it is you.
Otherwise-this is the last you will hear from me.
Ciao.

you've had an attitude since day one and think your some entertainment god. i don't give a f**k if your jesus christ. your obviously not ready for anything outside of NYC. Your not L.A. honey....and your obviously intimidated by new talent or otherwise you wouldn't have responded the way you did. maybe its the dual american-croat combo that scares you...or your just hanging onto your job. Nothing sadder than a fallen star Besides....i already said ciao. so ciao ciao

with the box office records this year...and the internet...i would be worried about my job too if i were you. I'd fear the up and coming. The new talent is going to blow you "hollywood communists" away.
So no worries...there's no anger here. You assume alot. You made an ass out of yourself by doing so. Zbogom

old guest....i've enjoyed your posts...wisdom and humor since I've arrived. I'm glad you stuck around. I'd be happy to discuss these things via email but not in a public forumn...i hope you understand why. I'll be coming to CRO sooner or later. I'm thinking media empire.... You in?

Calm down please Croam. I am sort of "insider", and I just have wish to help, at least with advice.

old guest: i'd like to write direct and produce. I'm willing to work on others projects who will work on mine. I'm putting together my reel and resume.
I'm putting together a documentary that will take place in former yugoslav countries. I won't go any further about what the topic will be as it may or may not be a few years away. In the meantime i am really busy finishing the last six months of my B.A. in Film/English. I am shooting a 16mm trailer for a feature film this fall while i apply for jobs worldwide but mainly in the US. I live in what they call "hollywood east". NC is the third highest film revenue in the US and they have a film studio/sound stage here. Its a great place for independent film and not entertainment industry communists who fear the democratization of film and their own individual obsoleteness like AmerWom.

old guest: sorry i seem a bit worked up as i just drank a half gallon of coke at the theater...watched a terrible film Montser in Law ...and then had Amer Woman ASSuming things about me. I can't stand assumption....and her prozac attitude and philosphy is what i despise about the Business.
You work in film and television in Croatia old guest?
