Ghost, you have a very short memory I can recommend a good doctor. Joe confirmed that he knew me and Joe is known to many people on this site. As for your comparison, I guess that Afghanistan is safe compared to Iraq. I DON'T KNOW JOE either! I have never met with him. You people are real freaks.... all trying to confirm your identitys. I really don't give a . If you live here.... good for you. Enjoy! If you don't.... like I said " I DON'T CARE" this is a forum. You know a forum somewhere in internet space. I live here. My family is here. We manage. Do you really think I care where YOU THINK I LIVE. NO, I don't BUT YOU PEOPLE SEEM TO BE OBSESSED BY IT GET OVER IT!!!! It is almost like you are jealous I live here! Please get over this weird obsession. Also if you think it is so important to be a Croatian than maybe you should start your own website and in order for us to post we must enter a valid Croatian passport. HUH? What about that? Until then this is Visit Croatia Forum. Not you have to be A Croatian forum or Living in Croatia Forum! Until then everyone has a say here!

The wild 'coyote' dogs are not dangerous, they will run away from you before you can see them.
Domestic dogs that gone wild are more dangerous, but not as common as in Greece or other southern countries.
Does anyone know the croatian name for these 'coyote' dogs?

I hate dogs. Well, a bit. Stupid efin creatures. 'play with me' 'walk me' 'let me put my nose in your nuts' 'let me bonk your leg/table leg' Stupid bloody mindless stupid bloody animals. 9AND THEIR OWNERS!) BUT, I tell you no lies here, and if I'd had my camera with me I would have snapped it....no I wouldn't. Drove down town one early morning, in and around Sibenik: big St Bernard, with an ugly looking mongrel.....Reciving a gobbing! I am serious. My wife is witness. Laugh; I could have chucked.

Dogs are much nicer than cats....
Cats crap in the garden and it stinks and then it is hard to find until you go to work in the garden and there it is. Cats spray everything and their urine is far worse smelling than a dogs.
Owners of cats are usually lazy people. They want a pet that they can throw outside and only have to see every once in a while. They usually just throw a bit of food outside and have no concerns for the cats health or safety. Poor cats get run over, shot, die of disease.
Owners of dogs usually tend to be responsible and trully caring because you can't just open the door and say out to a dog. They need dedication from their owners... for food, walks and love. Dogs are social and they desire our companie.
;DMy dog is my heart beat at my feet. You could never say that about a cat!

in the manner of the best copy-paste poster on the forum:
What is a Cat? Cats do what they want. They rarely listen to you. They're totally unpredictable. When you want to play, they want to be alone. When you want to be alone, they want to play. They expect you to cater to their every whim. They're moody. They leave hair everywhere. CONCLUSION:They're tiny women in little fur coats.
What is a Dog? Dogs spend all day sprawled on the most comfortable piece of furniture in the house. They can hear a package of food opening half a block away, but don't hear you when you're in the same room. They can look dumb and lovable all at the same time. They growl when they are not happy. When you want to play, they want to play. When you want to be alone, they want to play. They leave their toys everywhere. They do disgusting things with their mouths and then try to give you a kiss. They go right for your crotch as soon as they meet you. CONCLUSION: They're tiny men in little fur coats.

and one more on cats and dogs:
A dog thinks: Hey, these people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a nice warm, dry house, pet me, and take good care of me... They must be Gods!
A cat thinks: Hey, these people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a nice warm, dry house, pet me, and take good care of me... I must be a God!

I have never had a dog that goes sniffing in my Crotch area....
I have had many dogs... male, female. None have done this.
Maybe the dogs that do this can't help it when they come across someone really stinky... that is the only thing I can think of.
Every cat owner I know.... has told me their cat comes running when ever they hear a can being open.
I have a dog that loves ice, any time ice is being put into glass she comes running for a piece....

are there many stray dogs in Croatia?
I have lived in the south of Italy for the last 9 months and the situation there is disgusting!
I love dogs and I cannot bear to see them abandoned to themselves on the road, better put them to sleep!

personaly I haven't noticed that many stray dogs at all. I'd say there are more stray cats than dogs.Lots of cats in croatia. very few rats, mice, and cockroaches in the city area that i've seen either. Zagreb and Napoli are like chalk and cheese as far as cleanliness and crime go.

Hi gavul!
Infact I have lived in Napoli for the past 9 months...I am originally from there but I have lived in South Africa for the past 15yr.
big difference...I would really try out Croatia and see how is life over there...the dog situation was worrying me a little as it depresses me highly to see stray dogs bee knocked over by cars continually as it happens in Napoli...cats are much more indipendent and they can procure their food much easier...

I have to agree about Napoli being dirty, I was shocked by how unclean that city is.

yeah...so you can imagine: I am from Naples with all its dirt and traffic and mafia etc.... I live in South Africa with all the violence etc... I wouldn´t mind trying out a place like Croatia because it has no violence, not so much dirt etc. what worries me are all those comments about corrupted officials and the difficulty in obtaining business permits Italy and South Africa have their share of corruption, but at least I speak the language...to say that at least I would understand if it is a matter of offering the guy a little something in an envelope or not: if people earn little money,it is easy to become involved in the circle of corruption. In SA , according to a recent report, the police force are the most corrupted sector among civil servants...
