O.K folks- I have some sad news to share with you. I have been suffering from a life threatening allergic reaction for the last couple of weeks resulting in a and e treatment on now 4 occasions. The last time was very bad but I live today. We have a clue as to what is trying to kill me but I am on very powerful drugs. I hope that I survive to be able to go back to Croatia as that country has given me so much joy and blessing. I am a born again Christian so if I die, I will be at peace. Sorry to put this on the board, but I wish you all the best and you have cheered me up on many occasions. Please look after yourselves and I hope to be able to continue to post.
PS; THIS IS NOT A WIND UP!!

Carol- they kept me on clinical decision unit fed with intravenous steroids last week and then released me as I did not need adrenaline at that stage. But I was back there again last night- hands swollen, face swollen- lips, mouth, feet and they said because I am now on the highest dose of steroids 40mg, it is unlikely I will go into anaphylactic shock. But I nearly went into anaphylactic on 35mg on wednesday and my voice was squeeking and my face was swollen like a trout pout and I had not had training how to use my epipen so we all freaked out and I took loads of antihistamines and upped the dose of steroids to 40mg to try and bring it all down. Now those around me are getting told how to use it.
But it is a joke! I have an urgent referral to the best hospital now, but I told them yesterday my body is tired and can not suffer another attack. They have been virtually daily for the last 4 weeks. It's sodium bicarbonate- cake raising agent and other raising agents as it happens after eating cakes/biscuits. But it must be linked to other raising agents as well so I am googling what I ate yesterday which brought it on. The steroids are the worst though....... My loved ones are well freaked out by this though.
But sorry folks- it has put things into perspective and I was so sad yesterday about the thought of not going back to Cro....... I love Porec and the thought of not seeing Cro's beauty made me so sad.
But I will be back......I need a Gloria Gaynor Song moment- I will survive!!
I shall put up the link from my recuperation bed.
Today- folks, no cakes, no raising agents, so hopefully no allergy- then eureka we will know it is all that!!
I shall not post about it again, as this is about Cro.......and I am being cheered up with reading all the anecdotes.
Am I sad??

Thanks Anna and Hansel and to everyone who has been sending me happy thoughts. Another allergy free day on my steroids as not having any bready/cakes stuff......yey!!!
I absolutely love Cro! Even though we moan about things, we have supported each other on this board through all the corrupt beaurocracy and all it takes is like minded individuals to make a difference in that beautiful country............Hang in there everyone!!

I feel sorry for her sweetie......do not string her on babe... I know, I know fear of commitment on your part, but.... Ha, well my (not) girlfriend and I are on a break... due to my issues with commitment, my reluctance to give her a key, despite the fact my cleaner and my mother and siter have one and my absolute refusal to go away for a weekend when my football team has a game, or indeed spend any time with her before 6pm on sundays. Women!

Best wishes Polako. Just think what the diet's doing for the figure! A cure for Christmas and you'll be able to indulge...... Finger's crossed 'cos I know how bad steroid's can be long term.

Football vs Women??? Why can't the 2 teams coexist Capio? I am here all week.......... Cos women can't be quiet when the football is on. Especially when I am managing my team... so I don't want her there... then obviously there's 6 hours in the pub afterwards. Love's overrated!

Oh capio my old mate...... ;D "... then obviously there's 6 hours in the pub afterwards." d**n, id almost forgotten the joys of Sat night down the rugby club........ However I have to say that it was rather nice when the "gals" joined us later on in the evening. Mixing the two can work very mate mate, at least you get a driver home at the end of the night for free.

I'd rather play football with a woman than get in a car driven by one.
