It is a tiny airport. I'm pretty sure it closes overnight.

I doubt if you would be able to 'sleep' at airport overnight, especially as you are supposed to have a registered address for the period of stay in Croatia - dont think c/o Zadar airport would do it First flight usually leaves around 7am and the last flight is gone by 10pm or so. You could email them to find out, but they will likely suggest you find a pension for the night as you will only need to be there for 6.30am for the first departure if using Croatia airlines - most others dont leave until the afternoon! info@zadar-airport.hr

Hi, was wondering if anyone has slept over night in the airport? and is it even allowed? Once the Ryanair flights leave to go to Stanstead and Ireland (about 10.00 pm) its very quiet and I would guess they kick you out. You'll get a B&B in Zadar town but that's a few miles from the airport (and a taxi ride away). I didn't spot any accommodation near the airport, but that does mean there isn't any, there may be some in the local village but its still not in walking distance. Zadar is an old military airport and is well tucked away. If you check out www.booking.com/airport/hr/zad.en.html?aid=303948;label=airport-zad-3E_UkEoNkdUaZAYlukZexQS1057673601;ws=&gclid=CIzhia7vuJoCFREgZwoduU6hcgsome hotels offer a shuttle bus. David

Also, Croatia isn't as versed in people sleeping at airports like what happens say at some UK airports that are open 24 hours a day. They may give you very bad looks; tell you to move or more. It’s a cultural thing, frowned on.

I slept overnight at Zagreb airport a few years ago. Wasn't a problem.
Although the police didn't offer me wake-up call or a cuppa.....

Zagreb airport is a bit bigger than Zadar airport. Am sure that everyone goes home and that they lock the door after the last flight has departed (or arrived in case of lay over).
Finding an apartment or room near the airport will be impossible, unless they have built a hotel over the last few months.
The nearest hotel that I know is in Sukosan and that is perhaps 10 minutes by taxi, but do expect to pay a fortune for the cab ride. Airport Krk to Rijeka is also over 300 Kuna, they really know how to empty the pockets of the tourists if they have the opportunity.

YES! You can sleep there. I did it in June. We even slept on comfy chairs.
