I am coming to Split in a motorhome and going on sailing for a week.
Can anybody help me where I could find secure week long parking to park my motorhome?
At the airport or docks?
Thanks

maybe around the ttts transport terminal. you get there by headint towrds makarska from split, about 8kms from split, you get to the traffic intersection for Stobrec, then there you turn left. maybe park near one of the transport faciltites there, somewhere wehere your vehicle can be seen. just dont blame me if someone does something to your van.

Park it at the airport IMO- I have done that numerous times for up to 3 weeks and as long as it is near the airport building you should be fine- alternately you can leave the vehicle with me in Zadar and I will look after it If you are picking up the boat in Biograd and not Split (as my Canadian colleagues did a year ago and thought it was one and the same!), then park it at the marina- cost is about 40 kunas a day IIRC

If you sail from Marina Kastela, where most charters are now based: they have a long-term parking, cost is EUR 50 for a week.

In fact most of the marinas offer fairly secure parking for the time of your charter. Try and get the marina you are saling from on line and check their facilities. We have never had any problems and always leave our cars at the marinas.

There is a secure parking station close to the harbour in Split where the ships come and just behind the train station. Not sure of prices but I can check it out for you if you are interested.
