hello,i'm chinese and my family and i living in budapest, hungary, now we are in china.we've stayed in budapest for around 7 years,i haven't traveled Croatia before but i love the country so much ,and my parents plan to start their job,or find a job in Croatia,if in Zagreb it will be better. i've heard that the salary in Croatia is very high, about 2.5 times the payment in china and also much higher than hungary, even in budapest, salary can be much lower than Croatia, because i've told that the average net salary in Croatia is 5729 kuna,is that true?if so,it will be fine,i would say that in CHINA the average pay is only 250-300 euros(net) while in HUNGARY is only 500 euros(net). my question is that if i find a job successfully,i can have an average net salary or not? link:http://www.agile-news.com/news-613320-Croatia-in-November-2011-the-average-net-income-for-the-5729-Kuna.html thanks! waiting for good answers!

Average salary is irrelevant, since with more than 300 000 unemployed, it's very hard to find a job even for locals, and the ones who do land a job in these harsh times will probably get salary much below average. If you don't speak Croatian, there's no way you'll find any job by regular channels.
Then again, you can use Chinese connections. Local Chinese mostly work in Chinese shops and restaurants, but I have no idea how much they earn. Probably not much.

that is to say it's hard to get an average net salary even the local? Yes. For starters, it's extremely hard to get a job, even for a local. If you do get a job, it will probably be substantially below statistical median, because with overabundance of unemployed, work is cheap these days. .

As the old saying goes... you can make the eagle scream on the USA dime if your squeeze it hard enough, but right now Croatia is not a destination of choice for job seekers.

Could it all not be just a case of " Lies , d**n Lies and Statistics " ? ( can't imagine many people surviving on those kind of incomes , with Croatian price-levels...)
