Bravo CroJoe, I stand corrected about self employed status.

I don't think the Croatian university courses are that highly regarded. I do know that they have a weird bureaucratic structure though and there have been scandals about paying lecturers bribes to obtain course passes (i.e. some students have found that the only way to pass a course is to pay for it and whether or not they actually know the material is irrelevant). However, that was a couple of years ago so maybe its all been cleaned up now. Maybe someone can tell me I am wrong about how well regarded Croatian university degrees are?? There is a business course you can take all in English, as taught by Tina in Zagreb on "Entrepreneurship". She told me a cute story once about how the former guys in power for business came to the university where she works and where invited to give a little speech. When it was over she said those guys know very little about Entrepreneurship. Figures , seeing how they help drive small business into the ground.

Thanks so much Gav!!! Perfect website and just what I need, I need to have a good read of it, I agree I feel the universities can be bribed and have corruption but the same was the case when I lived in England and studied there a few friends had that problem, of course not a problem for them as they get a pass mark.. I would feel uncomfortable going into a profession and not actually knowing the material but that's just me I guess. I read up on the 90 day period and it still stands, I can enter again but must leave the country first then return, also within this 3 months I have to prove self sufficient which is no problem and also find a reason to stay, so basically have 6 months to sort something out or it's not possible. You've all been very helpful!

Documentation as in what? I have most documents, plus I don't need anything else for the 3 month stay that's literally just walk in and look for work I believe. I'm going for a weekend in April surely I can speak with consulate there then and see what I need, I don't need anything just to go for a weekend

That said all depends where you will be living will determine job availability. You might want to consider taking a 2 day English teaching course abroad, then you could do this?

I was considering this, I will be living in Zagreb so I'm hopeful with my already qualifications I may be able to find work :/ would you know of any teaching courses that are quick and cheapish? I spoke to Zagreb embassy and they said I can walk in and start to look for work :/ the whole matter is confusing I'm going there for 2 days in the next few weeks so hopefully I can ask in person and see the procedures
