Extensive expansion in Croatia – new destination and increased capacity in Dubrovnik
Dalmatian Coast and Islands – Croatia
From next summer Thomson customers will have the chance to experience the beautiful and less explored Croatian coastal region of the Dalmatian Coast, the perfect escape only a short flight time from the UK. The area situated all along Croatia’s Adriatic coast is home to cool clear waters, secluded coves and enchanting towns. The region stretches from Trogir in the north, with its maze of medieval streets down to the islands of Brac and Hvar in the south, where the temperate climate and picturesque scenery create the perfect atmosphere. In between the ribbon of coastline known as the Makarska Riviera, customers can experience plenty of popular resorts grouped around the long pebble beaches that characterise the shore. The popular City of Split, also part of the Dalmatian Coast is one of the coast’s most exuberant cities, bursting with life, brimming with colour and home to the UNESCO-protected Diocletian’s Palace, one of the most imposing Roman ruins in the world.
Thomson is delighted to launch this region with the Adriatic Beach Hotel – its third Couples property in Croatia. Set at the foot of a pine covered mountain on the Dalmatian Coast along the Makarska Riviera close to Igrane town, the exclusive adults only hotel will offer all of the customary luxuries featured by Thomson Couples including a choice of swim up rooms and fine dining with easy access to the local towns and amazing views of the Adriatic Sea.
Two flights a week to Split, from London Gatwick and Manchester, will bring customers to this exciting new destination.
Increased choice and more flights to Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik is a hugely popular destination for UK holiday makers – with this in mind Thomson has vastly increased its capacity in the region for summer 2015.
Six additional flights per week will be available into Dubrovnik from Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow and Bristol. Holidaymakers will also be able to enjoy a Thomson Cruises’ cruise and stay holiday in Dubrovnik, with Thomson Celebration sailing out of the port for the summer season.
