Hello, At the end of August we're travelling by car from Holland to Croatia and we can stay for 5 weeks. It's our first time there and I would like to get some ideas where to start, how to get a place to sleep. Simple places will do. Is it also possible to go by boat and maybe see dolphins?

My friend just returned from the island of Pasman and she says she saw dolphins. I guess it all depends on your luck. Several days ago Croatian Television reported about group of dolphins that came real close to the beach (I can't remember now where this happened) and they swam with the tourists. People could even touch them. Cameras recorded everything and it was just a beautiful sight. Your most likely to see dolphins in Cres-Losinj group of islands. Many dolphins live there. More info here: www.blue-world.orgwww.island-losinj.com/dolphins/index.htm(please read the Code of conduct in presence of dolphins) www.tz-malilosinj.hr/english/vodic.htmlwww.tz-malilosinj.hr/english/setnice.htmlHope this helps. I hope you will see dolphins. I never did

Hi Robert, Thanks for your information, indeed, your friend was very lucky. I already contact blue-world.org and I'm very curieus about the place the dolphins came to the beach. So, if you can remember the name of this place, would be nice. Yes, i was swimming with them several times, in Eilat. I'm surely looking forward to Croatia and with an open mind everything can happen, I think! Trudie

Hello Trudie,
I have asked around and have been told that this happened on the island of Kaprije near Sibenik. Hope this helps.

Hello Robert, Great and thanks, that's a great help for me. I think it's more convenient to take the ferry to Split Trudie
