Can you provide some advice? Im travelling alone to Croatia in July. Im flying into Split and out of Dubrovnik 8 days later. Should I divide my time equally between the two towns & do day tours in the towns and tours FROM Split & Dubrovnik to the islands etc?
Im also looking for American style hotel rooms with concierge desk, restaurant etc in good locations, just so I feel really safe. Should I be looking at hotels in the city centres or down near the ports?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Croatiahelp - Croatia is a very safe country in the main - you may feel more at home going to American-style hotels - but you will be perfectly 'safe' in 99% of hotels, with or without concierge desks. I assume you may be female, and I'm a bloke, but whatever the complaints about Croatia (read back through these pages) I'd say it is unusual to hear of physical attacks. kesterj
