thinking of looking at sailing hols for w/c sep 21 in croatia. My other half lives on a boat and is v excited. Any tips for best places to go for a week's sailing and what companies to try? I've been to rovinj, pula and opatija so maybe further south would be good?

Further south, in Dalmatia, where it is warmer, has more of the islands. I'm told (because I do not sail) that the sailing is good because there are lots of different winds and many islands - some inhabited and others not - to keep things interesting.

My son rang up Kastela marina for an out of season rental and got a significant discount (50%), but that might be towards the end of September. The only problem with Croatia is the high cost of mooring overnight (500 Kn) even when not in a marina, but you may be luckier going late Sept
