If you're a fan of Brac, I think that Supetar is a little less authentic now than some of the other small towns adjoining it. I would look at Sutivan on one side or Splitska and Postira on the other side. All three are nice villages with decent cafés, restaurants and quieter / cleaner beaches than Supetar. Easy and cheap buses bring you to Supetar and the ferry port from any of them.
As for agencies, there's little on Brac, I'd try some of the bigger agencies in Split ... Trgostan, first property Croatia, Broker, Simic dom

Re location for property on Brac (or anywhere else). Consider looking at one of the more inland villages, such as Dol - which is near Postira. You still have a sea view, access to the sea in 10 minutes, but almost complete freedom from large numbers of other tourists. And in property terms you get massively 'more bang for your buck' ! Generally more space, no parking issues etc, and a far more authentic life. Re agents. I bought/renovated and sold one property (and looking to do it all again)! And would suggest www.croatiapropertysales.comThey are one of the larger agents and known to 'do things properly' . The days are gone when you want lawyers/agencies to cut corners as this backfires and you can end up in a huge mess. The courts system is not as efficient as UK so it's better to do things properly on day one. The only small problem with 'croatiapropertysales' is that they are always busy so you need to be a bit patient.

I've been in Supetar 10 years now and love it just as much now as then. I would stick to Brac as there is a much more regular ferry service all year round from Split. (11 a day in winter and 14 a day in summer) making it easier for any guests you have (the airport bus trains etc are so easy) and for 'special' shopping sightseeing. There's some great property on the market at the moment, just go for it, if you haven't already!

I lived in village Dol he spoke about above......is not much sea view but you are 3 minutes to the sea.... Is great area to live peaceful and quiet
Hvar is more quiet than Brac...... Stari Grad is busy few months in summer, is totally safe place, very locals oriented but is really pretty nice place to live, lots of retired folks....Trajekt right to it is a big plus......lots of empty places to enjoy the water, one of my 2 shops was there.
You will do better to find a local real estate person as everyone sells through a few people that have coffee at Casper kaffee bar in mornings ..... they will know about stuff not making it online too
Brac is more convenient trajekt to Supertar runs maybe every hour....to Hvar off season to Stari Grad is 3 trips a day....... Jelsa is also very nice I think 7km from Stari Grad and has passenger ferry stops in Brac on the way to Split
