My finace has a house on Vir that has finally been legalized and has all the connections, power, etc. The second level was never completed and recently the building of the second floor has been approved, which consists of two apartments.
Does anyone know what the procedure is for submitting revisions and making changes on the architectural plans?
I think what I really need is another architect to look at this. If anyone knows of a good one in the Zadar area, please let me know. I do speak Croatian but not perfectly so if he knows English, even better.
You are all very helpful on this board so I thank you in advance for you input!

I have a suggestion from painful experience. pay a visit to the Opcina who will ultimately sign off your revision. They will give you some guidance on what/what not to do and, probably surreptitiously, the name of an architect who's drawings they are most likely to accept... if you get my drift.

Ok, thanks Ribaric. Would that be to the opcina in Vir or in Zadar? It seems that everything goes through Zadar other than komunala. This architect is actually fairly known because his father is in the court system. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to have much of a talent for actually making a layout, but he does know how to collect $$. I wanted a flat roof and he did not know how to draw it and kept giving us plans with a pitched roof. Anyways.....I'm sure you could write your own book on your experiences!

Vir or Zadar? I don't know, I guess the person in VIR if that is where the Opcina is located. I'm located inland so I don't know what happens on the coast. You need to identify the person to whom you will submit your building plans and who is empowered to say yes/no. That's the person who is best placed to 'guide' you along the chosen path. It is likely their preferred architect is also a relative, former school friend, business associate or, most likely, a member of the same political party.
Allegedly.

Lots of ads but the best way remains: find the person who will make the yes/no decision. Ask their advice on who is best placed to provide you with an approve-able plan. www.ruralpropertycroatia.com
