Visiting Croatia for 19 days. Landing Zagreb and staying 2days then:
Night train to Split for 7 day cruise of the Islands
Renting car for drive to Dubrovnik for 2 days
Drive to Mostar for 1 night
Drive to Plitvika Lakes for 1 night
Drive to Rijeka and visit to Rovinj
and then to Zadar for ferry to Ancona, Italy.
I know I'm missing a lot. Any suggestions?

Have you seen the map? It seems to me unnecessarily going up and down, paricularly part from Mostar to Plitvice lake and than to Rijeka,Rovinj and back to Zadar. My advice, forget Rovinj or if you must,when you are in Zagreb first finish Plitvica lake (about 130km or 1.5 h drive), from there to Rijeka and Rovinj, back to Rijeka and than by ferry to Split.
But, as I sad,forget Rijeka and Rovinj and instead go to Zadar and Šibenik where you can visit Krka waterfalls (really nice), from there to Split for crusing, Dubrovnik, Mostar, back to Split from where you can catch ferry to Ancona. Consider this.

Hi, Yes, there is a lot to see in Croatia but you are definitely getting lots in! The cruise sounds very nice. If you are spending 2 days in Zagreb, you should take the bus to Plitvice at that time. Zagreb can be toured in one day, the drive to Plitvice is 2.5 hours and you can see all you need there in one day also. Two days in Dubrovnik is too much. You can see everything you need in one day, strolling the old town and walking the wall is a must. You would be better off to spend one night in the town of Cavtat nearby, very picturesque.
There is nothing to see in Rijeka, it's a port town and not that great. The much better option would be to go to nearby Opatija. That is a beautiful town with amazing architecture from the Austro-Hungarian era. There is a beautiful seawall that you can walk for 12 kms, all along the ocean behind all the beautiful hotels. You should definitely continue on to Rovinj as it is also beautiful and very picturesque. I did a tour of the whole Istrian peninsula and Rovinj was my favorite. I hope you are spending a day in Zadar, tour the old town and you must see the sea organ as it's the only one in the world. Also, the sunset at the sea organ is amazing so hangout for sunset if you can. Happy to help with any other questions.
