A while ago I had a volunteer from Bosnia staying with me in Hungary. When she went home she found a train from Nagykanizsa to Croatia and a bus from Croatia to Bosnia. I now have a requirement to cross the Hungary border by public transport but can only find Zagreb to Budapest and one or 2 other unsuitable routes. Looking at the rail network maps, it should be possible to do something like Koprivnica to Keszthely but it looks like the trains don't stop at these stations. Am I missing something or is there no local public transport between Croatia and Hungary?

I agree with january, the M7 is pretty deserted except for the annual pilgrimage to the HR coast in the summer. The Zagreb to Budapest train runs for nobody from the odd few times I've seen it.
