What a fantastic country! The scenery and facilities are excellent. It hasn't yet been ruined by inappropriate development (and hopefully never will be) - and the people were really nice. We even found a girl we hoped one of our sons would have the good sense to settle down with. We stayed in 4 great locations and had a wonderful overnight cruise on the fast boat up to Rijeka. I really can't understand the whinges of some of the reviewers in this section. Maybe they went to Albania?

Make sure to visit: as many islands as possible, they are the most beautiful thing you will ever see!!! + Pula, Opatija, Zadar, Sibenik, Split, Dubrovnik and other cities on the coast + Plitvicka jezera (better than Niagara Falls)

Not everyone wants to move to Croatia, the person visited it and said it was a fantastic country. Nothing wrong with that. The Serengiti National Park in Tanzania is a fantastic place but you wouldn't move there or you would get eaten by a lion. ;D

There has been a strange offering of recent tourists, who were ooo so happy and have never posted before,
I think it is fair to say that the people who rent out holiday homes are partaking in a little covert marketing.
Not that people do not come on holiday to Croatia and enjoy it, but these recent posts by unknowns clear set ups.

There is nothing wrong with promoting a country or a person promoting his company, I do find this recent trend rather underhanded however.
Also this site is not about promoting, it is about propaganda, so many people tell lies about Croatia, so that ignorant people will get a wrong impression. I do not blame the host for that but the users, Ivo is the latest addition to the tell them lies and get them in clique.
It should be easy to promote Croatia with truths; there are plenty of reasons why one would enjoy a holiday there, without people inventing tourists or lying about prices and levels of service etc.

You are truly paranoid ;D Don't you think that maybe these could be people that just came back from holiday excited and went online to find more information on Croatia and found this site. Have you ever been looking for information on Croatia and come accross this very site? I am sure there are more than just a few of us that visit this site. It is not a large traffic website but people can find it fairly easy. What they posted was nice... they did not push any kind of accomadations or restaurants or establishments so what would there BIG MARKETING SCAM BE? ;DSay a few nice things about Croatia on this little website and get millions of tourist from it.....hehahahe. Give me a break! You are one big DRIP!

there are alot of nice things to say about croatias scenery and climate . its a great place to visit. but there are problems in croatia . ive written about all the probs . and i really do think that the govt is lieing each year about the tourist statistics. as ive lived mostly on the coast since 97 and i definately think that there are less foreigners in croatia each year. you have to live in croatia for a while to figure out the mentality , to experience the jelousy the beaurocracy and corruption. but coming here on a holiday is great . id actually recommend it. from a tourists point of view, its a beautiful country to visit.

To new comers like me. Don't pay attention to this guy. It's a waste of time and does not give a good reputation to this site.

I had a good time in Croatia when I was there. I enjoyed the slower pace of life. It was very relaxing. But I wouldn't live there unless I was rich or had a nice retirement pension. Maybe Croatia will become the florida of Europe?

Spot on Mazzy! Trouble is, to have a pension you usually have to be an old goat - like me!
