I am in love with that dictionary too. I'm going to buy the Palm version when it comes out, otherwise I always just use it directly on the web. Goran Igaly rocks.

But it's all in Hrvatski Even my huge reference dictionaries are really written to explain English to Croatian speakers - not the other way round. Grrrrrrrr

Thanks GfZ, I have this CD but it is very basic and is little more than a vocabulary builder. I've been attending the Croatian Language School in London for about 100 hours now (once/twice a week) and have one-to-one lessons with the principal profesorica - Linda Rabuzin (famous name I think). She is the best teacher I've ever been lucky enough to meet so things are moving ahead quite well. I have a few Croatian pen friends but, the bottom line is that I rarely get a chance to spend enough time alone in Croatia, so the stuff I learn I later forget. Hopefully, this summer will be different.
Hvala lijepa vas pomoc. (You get the idea)

I found somewhere some info on summer school for foreigners here in Croatia. I could try to find more details if that would be interesting for you.
Hvala Vam lijepo za pomoc or Hvala ti za pomoc or Zahvaljujem na pomoci
Croatian is not easy, and the way you put it was quite understandable, so don't worry too much about gramar at this point.

The web dictionary is not all in hrvatski. It's just a simple word pairing, not a lesson in Croatian or a detailed explanation of how a word is used, but it goes both ways. If you go here, it will do the lookup for an english word or a croatian word, and there are buttons that say "search" or "trazi" and also buttons that let you enter all the extra characters. www.taktikanova.hr/eh/

Thanks Abbe, I had a go but there are so many options from which to choose. Useful nonetheless.
Thanks for the offer GfZ, I will be in Porec in May at a summer school with the Rabuzin school. I hope to make some serious progress there.
Funny thing, but over the last couple of days some major things have happened in my life which have loosened my shackles to the UK. In about a month's time I will be free to go and do whatever I can afford. It's one of those "planned-for" moments. Sorry to mention it but it's kind of a big time for me right now. Think I'll open a bottle of bubbly! I'll be spending a lot more time u Hrvatskoj skoro.
