Do not even try to get a mortgage/bank loan in Croatia. It is too expensive and too complicated.

Try your existing building society as they will probably arrange a mortgage based on the equity of your house in the UK.

My friend bought a property in Croatia (she is half Croatian) with a re-mortgage on her London flat. She says that her interest rate is only 4.49%, which is very cheap.

Getting a Mortgage for sole and specific purpose in a non-EU country does not exsist, but a remortgage can be costly,if the interest rates gor up and your have used your equity up. So think or sink later!!
