Anybody hear anything about a new golf course and marina development on Korcula? Somebody told me they read about it in 'The Times'.

i agree with above poster. why ruin yet another spot. there are golf courses everywhere...go to spain or someplace if you want to golf.
why is it that golfers have to dress so badly.....ughh

Well I am glad that not everyone want to turn Croatia into another Costa or Algarve. I do sometimes wonder when people ask for facilitities that are available in other countries. Maybe they feel comfortable in a sanitised 'global image' environment, after all it has been shown that car drivers are more likely to purchase fuel from garages that have a familiar design. Roll on the day when McD's are all over Croatia, there is a Tesco in every town, and Irish theme pubs are on every street. Just need a few Balti houses, video rental shops, Ikea, and estate agents to create middle England on the Adriatic. Whoops I have just realised that is what is starting to happen... Cynical? maybe  |

I agree! Korcula is a beautiful place and you do not want to put a golf course there. It will ruin the scenery!
