Hi All, I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a good publication-(book, guide etc) that deals with property purchasing in Croatia?? I want to buy & I guess someone else's experiences might be a good place to start. Thanks in advance! Matt

Hi Nicola
Just wanted to say thanks for your reply. Is the guide a book, pamphlet or other?

Propper book. Like that. Does it have a Government Health Warning on the cover? Something like...'People (other than Croats) attempting to buy property in Croatia, it can seriously damage your health.' I bought. But my wife is a Croat. In theory I own NOTHING! She bought. Otherwise I just wouldn't go there. Great place though. But it is a country within a country. It all depends upon where you go to buy.

Hi AlsoDoubles You seem to be warning me against my great investment idea!! Wouyld you care to expand, I would really appreciate your advice. Are you telling me that an alien does not own the same rights in realty as a Croat? Are yoo saying that there aer different levels of ownership? You also suggets that I be careful as to where I buy. Where would you advise? (I was thinking of one of the Islands, or the Istrian Coast. Thanks, Matt

Hi matt,
Before Alsdoubles responds you have time to read his earlier posts on this forum. Might be very helpful if you expect his advice to be practical for your purposes. Meanwhile, read Martin's book.
