Ì would recommend my own agency off course: www.middellandcroatia.comA Dutch agency mostly working for Benelux clients. But through our multilingual website and ability to speak many languages we are helping clients from all over europe and some Americans too. We have our office in Split and good solid feet in the Croatian real estate market. Amongst all the overprices, underquality properties there are still enough 'pearls' to be found. We do know what 'location' means. We work with locals for every region, but without making the purchase more expensive. Give me a call or mail me through our site and please DO give your exact wishes and demands. With this it is so much more easy to advise you on what you could find for that demand vs. budget, in what region, etc.

Try this agent: www.croatiapropertyservices.com/I don't work for them, never used them either so can't recommend either way but always found their site really informative and they seem to know a lot about the property market.

Ok , I tried.
I entered "Residential" and before I could selct "Zagreb" it shot off and showed me houses in Istria.
So I then selected "Zagreb" and before I could select "residential" it shot off and showed me commercial property.
This is utter cack. Don't people use their own websites before they make them public.

Those properties are Uk prices, quite baffling when one considers the average wage there is about 25% of the uk average.
UK property is over priced, I have many friends who can't get on the housing market despite having good jobs, but in Croatia, the situation for young people is close to impossible.

The right side seems to be for all residential properties where as on the left you can select a region. Take another look.

I just did that. On the right I got the same nonsence I got before. On the left I did manage to select both "residential" and "Zagreb" only to be offered one single house - which was already sold.
I use IE7. So do most other people. This site is cack AFACS.

So in fact the relevant search works. Whether or not it has properties in the area you want is another matter all together. Obviously since you're a html man yourslef you'd know better than me when a sight is 'cack', but IE 7 get with the times man ! What about. adriaticpropertyservices.com/

It does, but why have two database searches on the same screen? One works, the other doesn't. adriaticpropertyservices.com/Works well, time and effort has been put into this one. The people who run this one have to be very careful with so many topics and advice columns, this needs a lot of checking through and updating in order to remain factual and relevant. Still, if they do it then this is a top quality site. One little crit at the database writer, all fields remain available even though previous selections make them useless. EG, I can ask to see a ' house' in ' Varazdin' located ' one row from the sea'. That'll be the one I'd buy. I like this one .... www.inlandcroatia.com/It's so simple and tells me all I need to know. It wins in that it doesn't try to be all things to all people. I happen to know they are investing in a new site so it'll be interesting to see if they keep it useful rather than go all flashy. BTW - I notice that when you cut and paste a "quote" on this message board, you get the 'who' and 'when' added (in blue) to the top. When I do it, I just get the quote. How do you do that?

I just press 'quote' in the top right of the message I'm quoting, and then delete the irrelevant bits. I think the reason that some sites include so much info is to ensure a better search result.
