Hi Everyone,
There seems to be some knowledgable people out there who live in Croatia and can shed some light on some burning questions, my question being:
I am trying to rent over the internet a two bedroom flat for a short term lease of three months in Zagreb.
I have seen some beautiful real estate web sites in english, showing magnificent flats and have contacted people from these agencies. We want to rent for three months and they are telling us that there is a MINIMUM of 75 % of the rental fee for any rental under 12 months. That seems extraordinarily high because on a 900 euro rental ( the price already elevated) that is an extra 225 euros per month! This is what one very elegant real estate web site broker is asking me!!! IS this ridiculous or is this normal???They have stated on their web site that the Croatian chamber of economy has decided this price. Is this a law? Now another one asked 50% of one month for three month, still too high.
