alsdoubles the point i'm making! Why do so many people on this site sink to the depths of slagging off other people on the basis of their nationalities, why are these threads becoming so childish!!!!!!! A little more tolerance, will go a long way. (to the point? short enough? Alsdoubles, i accept you have embraced life in Croatia full on and are part of the community, but others on this site continually sink to lowly depths) Lowly deapths. I don't think there are any lowly deapths I have not seen in this lifetime. Seriously. But, for people living in the outside world, who may wish to move here and think it's a good idea. Well, it is maybe...But not yet. Fully. I've done it. Invested a lot. But I can't cash in, otherwise I would, for ONE KUNA profit, or even a loss. I'd go back. Because I could recover...back. Seriously. Within months. By Croatian standards. Don't you think these people would like to know that? But like I keep saying..Croatia is okay. You get up, eat, have a drink, see the sun..see the sea. I can see it east and west, from where I live. Prime property? No way. Absolutely no way. Not yet. No market for houses whatsoever! Big horizons. Big skies...cold or hot. But you have to do something with your head. Something. I regret to say I have not found that thing in Croatia...Maybe I will. Because I cannot go anywhere, yet. And I have enough money to see me out. Is that enough? Probably. But, like I said, you need something to do with your head. Your mind. Razumish? And it takes 2 to tango. My Croatian partner wishes we 'hadn't' Croatia is...boring...What the hell the kids do I really don't know, and I am tatak to two. And they don't appear too well balanced. Too happy. But, I will say this for all the young people in Croatia, they sure are NOT behaving like English youth. Like smashing the place up. They graffiti. But, on the streets where I live, and the neighbourhood where I live, well its safe. You can leave your car unl, ocked. Leave your house unlocked. Whatever is good and bad in Croatia you cannot put a price on that. In the UK, well, it's not like that. On Visit Croatia there is only a series of views. Some people will take note. Others will not, and know better. Good. Do it. Go forth and prosper. End of story.

¸Ok, ok, ok the truth must be told.
My name is David and I live in Zagreb, English man in Zagreb is actually a friend of mine who is Croatian.
He says that I complain about Zagreb 24/7 and he was just recreating my persona, whatever that means.
I agree with some of the things he has said in my absence, I believe I could have put forward my arguments in a slightly more diplomatic fashion.

The plot was/is Croatia is pretty much rubbish, right now. Agree with it, disagree with it..I for one don't give a monkeys. And all you Spatacans. Stand up. You will all fall away should someone stand against you. I tend to take the so many views seriously I have listened to in Croatia, since I have been here, from born here Yugoslavs: now Croatians. That is..Croatia is not there yet. Write your own plots. Build your own lives, hopes and fears. Come back and talk when you have more than ten minutes to talk about. Seriously guys,. I really don't care. I'm okay.

Doesn't the degree of rubbish depend on the degree of inebriation?

Elaine. what are you talking about...ever? Ask a Croat about Croatia. Ask an outsider about Croatia, who has been here for more than two weeks, and had a GREAT time. They will all tell you the same. Stone...rocks, seems okay for a fortnight. But the system rips you off big time. Outisider or Croat. More paper than you have ever seen. Ripoff.com And you get...zero for the rip off. You even have to get your hands down your own drains. Croatia is...Grozny with sea. Conretecroatia.com. A BLOT on the landcsape of the med. And, I would also like to mention...Alsdoubles (my god he is SO famous) his computer has been hijacked my a friend and ABUSED this past months by...... No. Croatia is Crap. Rubbish. nutse. Sorry. There just aint nothing here...not if you've been elsewhere...in the REAL world...

Alsdoubles,
Up until recently your replies have been slightly amusing, I normally looked forward to seeing your replies as they were wacky!!
But you seem to have got onto “English Man in Zagreb’s” bandwagon, or who ever he claims to be this week. Non stop winging!
My suggestion to you, him and all or your other mates who don’t like Croatia.
“GET OUT!”
Please all go back to where you came from, and enjoy your curries, your cloudy and wet summer weather and you baked beans.
You are all repeating yourselves with your comments, Croatia is this, Croatia is that, you have said it once we heard you, move on and get a life.
This forum is meant to help people wanting to visit Croatia.
Have a nice day.
Bok!

I have no idea who I’m sparticus is, strange guy.
This IS me being diuplomatic
Typical; Croatians resort to Racism. Can you not comprehend that westerners already view Croatia with suspicion due to the atrocious human rights record (lonely planet) quote.
The last thing you need is more racist outburst from idiots.
In Zagreb there is an area not sure how you spell it but it is pronounced Kaiseritza, there are many Chinese people who live there.
These people bring new culture diversity, new skills and knowledge to a country that is desperately in need of outside influences and do the great people of Zagreb appreciate it?
No they hate the fact that foreigners inhabit their country.
If a small country like Croatia only ha Croats with only Croatian skills, you are doomed, every country needs foreigners to bring new skills and new culture that will be the minds of narrow minded bigots.

sorry to say Engishman , but , screw you are u aware taht those chinese are breaking quite nice set of laws ? starting with exchange of papers, names and other rights and the fact that most of them registered their companies as gross sail , even that they were selling things on small ?? pure case of avoiding tax and thus being capable to go on market with lower prizes I wonder , do u in UK tolerate breaking the law ? is law made only for domestics and do u tolerate taht some indian or chinese is fooling with it?? then , where did u see taht chinese people integrated with surrounded people , or , are they just keeping together?? here , they dont comunicate and dont mingle with the rest , so , why should somebody like or dislike them?? plus , we already had a case of chinese extortion in zagreb do we need another mafia style here ? what egzactly r u truying to say ?

well although i am croatian, i do agree with the things tha english man in zagreb said, i live abroad, in italy, and it is true that you can give a better judgement about your country when you look at it from a different prospective.yeah sad but true everythings corrupted in croatia, nobody wants to work, everybody drinks coffee for hours and hours but yet they complain loads.Thats why im planning to earn money abroad and come back to enjoy croatia when iam rich(iwish it comes true) and old. But maybe hopefully things will get better earlier? So what are your advices, english man in zagreb, what should a croatian who doesnt agree with the croatian ways of doing things do?the only solution is to go abroad. I am planning on going to work in England in a year, in your opinion will i be accepted by the english people, i mean being croatian and all that?thanks

Alsodoubles your sense of humour seems to desert you from time to time, doesn't it? I have been pretty well all over the world and, if I couldn't continue to live in Scotland for any reason, my first (and only) other choice of domicile would be Istria - not based on a mere two weeks of sun and sea, either.
