How did a battle in Sisak save the British Empire?? haha, what a joker.
The turks made it to the outskirts of Zagreb and were all over the coast but never really ruled Croatia, I don't see how that has anything to do with the British empire.
Are you suggesting that after Croatia, they would just walk through all those other countries and take on the brits? ;D

The Germans invaded England? I must have missed that.
At the time of the ottoman empire, there were several strong empires in Europe, hence they never made any further west.

Yes but in from 15th to 17th century there was no US.bbefore WW2 you also had few "strong" empires but poor Nazi-germany over run them.

There are too many flags in Croatia. Zagreb is dripping with flags, almost every building has one, some more than one. I suppose it's useful in case one gets a sudden attack of amnesia and can't remeber in which country they are. National pride taken too far IMO.
