the coast of where exactly? California, ;D Ha ha.... you want to start off where emiz left off eh? Actually I would not mind being on Calfifnia coast right now..... it is probably cooler and less humid than here. I have worked over there many times for many big companies. It has always been pleasant there and I think I could live on their coast without trouble. The only bad thing is you can not swim all of their coast... sharks and cold water. only some of their coast is swimmer friendly, nothing like our coast where you can swim anywhere along the coast.

Why do you get up so late..... you lay around bed stinking until noon..... like so many kids today.
Get up.... it is cooler outside.... take coffee, have swim, read papers, enjoy quietness, until everyone gets up.
I also stay up very late too because I take short sleep in the afternoon when it is hot and in evening it is cooler and more enjoyable to be up and about.
So where are you exactly UK or America?

London of course, can't you tell by my accent? ;D Don't have any chickens then? What do you think we are all farmers or peasants in Croatia.... Does your wife have chickens? Maybe she keeps them in your apt in London....hahahaha ;D ;D ;D To make her feel like she is at home? I actually thought you would have asked me if I had a donkey since I am in Dalmatia ;D ;D ;D

nothing wrong with being a farmer, I've done some of it myself
actually I've never seen many cows, donkeys, or sheep in croatia! Mostly chickens.
Actually my wife thinks I'm a gypsy! You couldn't keep chickens in London, they'd get stolen.
Do you have any olive trees? I'm interested in them.

I could go into big story but to make things short....
Long ago our family owned a loooot of land along the coast and inland a bit. I mean I am not kidding if we owned the same land we had 30/40 years ago we would be millionaires all of us in the family.
As the story goes... 3 brothers together owned it after there father passed... one went to america giving over his share to the 2... the 2 were idiots.... sold almost everything to buy materials for the 1 home along the sea. Also they sold it because times were changing 30 years ago and they & the population moved from the coast to Zagreb and they had no idea what the land along the coast would be worth today.
What is funny is the value of coastal property was nothing 30/40 years ago. It was cheap.... no one saw value in it.
Most people were happy to just have a one small place along the sea to spend their summers, they saw no value of holding lots of property along the coast. WOW ! how things change! ;D
Well one of the parcels close to the sea once owned by our family has hundreds of old large olive tree's. When you drive by with boat you can look up to land and still see all the tree's.... then I feel like puking into sea because of family's stupidity! ;D
I know we are not the only family that have the same things happen..... this was fairly normal in those days.
In fact some families that left Croatia abandoned their land.... not to get it back or it is still sitting empty because relatives(children, grandchildren) are entitled to it in some other countries because their parents or grandparents left HR, never told them(children/grandchildren) there is land back at home in HR.

inter family land disputes between family members, now I've experienced the worst side of that. One particular piece of land that we would like to buy, was left to 10 different family members. In order to legally buy the land we need to persuade all 10 (or the relatives/legal representatives) to sign a contract. We've persuaded all of them except one who died and we are waiting on a relative of them to decide, unfortunately he lives in Switzerland and isn't bothered. Its a NIGHTMARE. We only want to buy the land to stop someone else putting sheep on it. Why he would want even more land I don't know? He has everything all ready, including bee hives, chickens etc. Families really can cause you problems. I know its a Croatian tradition to do it this way but did he have to leave it to so many people?

What you are describing happens quite a bit.
Why don't you want the sheep on the land?
Maybe you can work something out where they will not keep sheep on the land. In exchange for something?
Hey you are a jackal..... be one.... hahahaha! Rid the land of sheep Jackal style hehehehe!!! ;D

Yes, I did. I began to learn English in 4th grade of Elementary School til end of High School, i.e. for 9 years, but that was quite a long time ago (10 years)! Actually, I understand almost everything what people are saying, especially in written form and preferably in American English, and that is mostly because I watch alot of American movies which are, of course, subtitled in Croatian, and that is the main advantage of living here, and not in Poland for example, where all movies are synchronized in Polish, and which is more worse, mainly by only one person speaking all the dialogues! Also, I learned Italian, but only for 4 years in High School, and because of the war we've managed to complete only 2 books in 4 years, instead of 4, which is really a bummer, because I'm very bad in Italian because of that, but I'm intending to improve it, if I find enough time for it! In which town r u stayin' right now? Btw, I've noticed that you write nouns wrong in plural (it's trees, not tree's) and it's overseas... Of course, any help in correcting my mistakes would be appreciated! In these 2 days browsing this Forum I've also noticed that one guy is really annoying pain in the ...

Every board has it's resident villain. EMIZ is simply filling the position. He gets overzealous sometimes though...it's becoming too boring and predictable.
