New Orleans said: One idiot that keeps talking about Muslims being targeted by hate crimes in America. Do you know how many whites are targets of crime by other races.
Uh dumb***, you're calling the wrong guy an idiot. The idiot was the one that said hate crimes against Muslims "would never happen in America". I then offered loads of evidence that this was a completely wrong and absurd statement to make. The other guy (Croam) talks complete nonsense, I set him straight with some facts, but I'm the idiot. American anti-intellectualism at its finest!
Croam and friends: America is just the best thing ever!
Others: America is just one of many countries, with good and bad things.
Croam and friends: Everywhere else sucks and wants to be like us!
Others: But there really is no point in saying one country is superior.
Croam and friends: America is so cooool!
Others: Can you just listen to another perspective for a moment?
Croam and friends: You suck!
Others: Uh.....ok.
Croam and friends: Croam and friends: America is just the best thing ever!
Others: (sigh)...
Croam and friends: We told you! hahahaha...

Thanks for that valiant, and welcome back ! I didn't get to say much at all, my wife did most of the talking. Mainly to do with the fact that I still don't speak that much croatian, and she's a lot better looking than I am. I take it that you've had some work to do of late.

no i havent really been working. but i will be starting this week . back in my own firm. its been blocked and now its reblocked. 20.000 firms blocked in croatia. what a laugh . soory to be changing the subject ..but sanader is surprised by the fact that croatia is 117th worst country for business? . i recently found out how much easier it is to do business in serbia thanks to their recent reforms. i dont get why our suker doesnt follow their policy? and pdv is not for this country you stupid suker commy economist. first let the people make some money and then pdv them ..like in the rest of the world. i bet he doesnt have any house plants..he doesnt know that he has to water them ..he just rips them out of the pot when they die. aaaaaaaaaa.

I am from a small town south of New Orleans called Buras. It is at the mouth of the Mississippi River. The majority of the people here have Croatia blood. We are all now homeless. Reading this post has gotten me very upset. You are all talking about something you know nothing about. Just like someone said earlier you see it on tv so you beleive everything they say and you get upset when they talk about Croatia. Mambo you said earlier that if you were from America you would not clam it. Well I am from America and I am very proud of it just like I am proud of my Croatian back ground. you all talk about who is to blame. Well me being one of the ones who is Homeless I will let you know who is to blame. All of you say on TV that the poor people in the Superdome was without food and water for so many days. Well They were told to evacuate about 3 days before the storm hit. They all decided to stay becasue they knew that the state would open the superdome for a center for people to stay at for the storm. They were told to bring food and water to last them for 3 or 4 days. Well they all showed up with nothing. So all of these people are to blame that they were in that position. Most of them drove there cars to the superdome instead of leaving. No I admit that Bush the governor of Louisiana and the Mayor of New Orleans are all to blame of what happened after. I am mad at ever politions in Louisiana Federal, state and local. Here it is over a month and I still can not go back to Buras and see what I don't have anymore. So no one on this site has any right to sit here and say who is to blame if you are not here to see it first hand like I am. BUT mambo I am STILL VERY PROUD OF BEING AN AMERICAN. Just like you are proud of bing Croatian. but if you read about history the way I do if you look back to WWII Croatia sided with the Germans. So when the germans were beaten I would not have wanted to be croatian at that time. And just like the war between Serbia and Croatia not a good time to be proud of being Serbian. But most people look past all that but I guess you are not like most people

i tried to explain to them that this would happen anywhere social services(government) collapsed but they wouldn't listen. They must be "real europeans"....hahahaha. yeah right if this happened in zagreb people would be killing each other for a packet of vegeta. This would happen anywhere there was a growing disparity between rich and poor combined with a huge disaster. I think everyone knows there is a growing disparity between the rich and poor in croatia...just like there is in America. now i don't have the numbers so i don't know the per capita ratio....but come on....i've driven through zagreb....there are some really sad areas...like the communist high rises near the airport.

Also, if you are mad at Crotians and try to make some comparation of sort "you don't know how it is" - you are very wrong. Especialy by claiming things about WWII which you have no idea about (Croatians started partizan movement first in Europe, and Tito was Croat ... And they was't fighting against Americans then Germans. Qusling regimes was in all "alie" countries all over Europe, including France ... And Italy was member of "fashist/nazi" coalition ... but it is soo "cool", it has Pizza, Godfather ... name it). Well, anyway, I just don't see reason for you to get "pissed off" on Croatians for something you have no idea has it been said by Croatians. Mostly, people on thi forum are not Croatians, but they live in Croatia, and have "their wievs" on things - usualy, opposing everything said or tought by Croatians. Regards

Regards Mambo is from the Caribbean. He is a good poster and makes good points. I understand why Mark is sensitive and the siege mentality and national pride often comes out strongest during a crisis. I wish you well Mark. Although this post was meant in Jest as I found the picture funny, i still stand by earlier statments, Bush is a terrible president., He is partly responsible for the dangerous wild climate we have today, and he is also an idiot.

" ...So when the germans were beaten I would not have wanted to be croatian at that time. And just like the war between Serbia and Croatia not a good time to be proud of being Serbian. But most people look past all that but I guess you are not like most people" look we all feel for Mark. He lost everything in a nuts-storm of a hurricane so i can understand he's pissed off and freaking out, however, both Mark and Mambo made some mistakes: Mambo by assuming things about America, then Mark by assuming things about Croatia. I got mad about Mambo's American assumptions, Old Guest criticized Mark's assumptions about Croatia. The point? Mark's position about Croatia is unclear and spreads ridiculous historical stereotypes that relative to WWII(the big picture) would be funny if an entire country and millions of people didn't have to live under the black cloud of the Ustasha minority's actions in WWII and those who keep it under the social microscope . Meanwhile you just love your french, italian, and german nazi friends whom you've long forgiven. Brilliant logic. Very "progressive" and "european". DIVIDE AND CONQUER...seems like the powers that be are succeeding at dividing us as they did less than a hundred years before. The funny thing they teach you when your young about why history is so important is true. It does repeat itself. You don't even have to go past WWI to figure out what's going on in the world today. Here's an interesting article about the fascist Italians that everyone loves so much. Hey they're cool now. So are the Germans. That was a long time ago: www.croatianworld.net/Letters/5126.htm I guess the time for logic is over.
