I'm pleased that the media seems more and more willing to criticise the powers that be on small matters, we have to start somewhere. Can you imagine the impression it gave to foreign diplomats? The whole city at a standstill? The economic implications alone will have frightened them, or maybe that was the point? To go in low as some back-wards unorganised country and play the role of the helpless needy state? Maybe they're not as stupid as we think, who knows, either way it is unfair on local people, and local businesses. Only retard could come out with such conclusion. Sit, think and post again. Old guest you have such a nasty temper, I think you should count to 10 until you post, you're starting to resemble ghost, well apart from her English is better of course.

Even emergency vehicles were stuck for hours! The powers that be were lucky not to have a death on their hands. Realoldguest, I have the impression that you're the type of person that could lift yourself above the name calling that goes on between some others. Am I right? So Gav, what do you think the real reason behind it? Genuine security concerns? Trying to put on some half-arsed show? As usual there seems to be no logic. The common man like you or I suffers most.

Hi everyone
It appears as if each poster try to be wiser than the last one. That's good wisdom is something most people admire. That reminds me to remind myself about a few words of Theodore Isaac Rubin:
"KINDNESS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WISDOM AND THE RECOGNITION OF THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM"
Personally I've seen people achieve a better end result in in all type of circumstances under all type of systems in most countries by adhering to Rubin's words. Kindness is a source of strenght, strenght to disagree and to agree constructively and respectfully. Jan

Hi davidzg & realoldguest
davidzg I have no idea if your statement about poor people is correct or not, but I'm sure that Rubin had everyone whatever background in his mind when he wrote those words. Of course not all kind poor people, aquire wisdom nor does all of the rich, middle class or any class or gender. Rubin didn't say that. What he said goes for those who are so lucky to start climbing the ladder of wisdom. In the end it boils down to whether you believe he was right or not, if you believe he was wrong, his words won't affect you. Jan

Hi realoldguest
If your last post was addressed to me, I accept your apology. That's the danger of following any teacher too closely. No seriously I enjoyed your reply, humour is a great way to express oneself. Jan
