well, they had an aussie do it once and it was not good ! The thing about acting is that people from all nationalitiys get to 'act' the part of people from any nationality. It all just depends on how good the actor is, and how good their accents are. Most movies these days don't even bother attempting with the accents though. Goran, unfortunately just doesn't look British, and I'm not sure that he could rid himself of the croatian tinge in his voice. I think they made the wrong decision in getting the guy they did, because a. he's not very handsom, and b. he's blonde I guess those 2 things can be fixed with make up and hair stylist.
