"Jack Straw, the foreign secretary, will today announce the end of 10 of the BBC World Service's historic foreign language services to mostly eastern European states, to find the £25m worth of savings needed to fund the corporation's new Arabic television channel..."
Croatia is apparently to lose it's BBC programmes and broadcasts - I thought they stopped broadcasting in Croatian years ago?
I'm guessing its only going to be radio (and any regional TV) broadcasts being cut.
I'm not sure if this will include the website

On a similar story - I hear that Sir David Frost is to become an anchorman for the new English Al-Jazeera network.
