last time I was in Middlesborough, dodging the bullets, passing the burned out houses and boarded-up shops, I noticed that nobody's car had been "keyed", then as I turned the corner I noticed the keymaker's shop was on fire and he was lving in the street bleeding.......and you complain about Zagreb.....

Firstly and unfortunately you will find racist and sexist attacks in most countries. Here is no exception, but on a whole, all violent assault is at a lower rate than many european countries, including Britain. Secondly where the fug is Middlesbrough ? is that that little town in northen england that has a population no bigger than 190 000 people? Hardly can be compared to a 'big' city. thirdly, that last post was funny

There is not one homeless person in Middlesbrough, don't talk rot. Making up random crap to make a point is silly. There are certainly no boarded up houses in the area I come from, if you find a house in the grey toweres region for less than 300k let me know, I'll take two.

When Middlesbrough becomes the centre of the city of Teesside planned for 2018, it will be the third largest city in the uk, I think it can be compared to Zagreb, there are certainly more jobs.

You're missing the point, my car has been vanalised whilst I have been parked in the street by random strangers, they don't know it is my car. My parking manners are 100000 times better than 99% of Zagreb so there is no obvious reason, these things just happen here. I just wanted to know if it is likely if my car will be vanalised more often. Although I'm quite happy to go along with the witch hunt, bring it on!

So by you talking about something I have not mentioned I don't know Middlesbrough? he he.
The crime rate is certain parts of Middlesbrough is very high, central and east. However I have never had my car scratched or banged unlike Zagreb.
In South Middlesbrough and the outskirts were I come from it is very low. Nice to know you are such interested that you go looking for stats though.
Also I will add that Middlesbrough operates a no tolerance policy similar to New Yorks, many police forces throughout the nation are copying, this policy increased the 'detected crime' dramatically, it doesn't mean there is more crime it means more crime is being reported.

What a load of rubbish, in Middlesbrough today, you can go to the housing office and have an apartment by tomorrow. There are no people sleeping rough in Middlesbrough, unless they're invisible, maybe they're ghosts, ghost?

The entire population of the whole tees valley is only 650 000 and shrinking . Where's the point in trying to 'beef up' your home town? www.teesvalley-jsu.gov.uk/private/n11.htm

The point I have proven is that if you do not know anything about your apocalyptic home town, what gives you the right to drivel on about Zagreb, like the proverbial voice of doom. Move to the coast and get a real life!

Gavin I have met you and you're a nice guy, but you talk crap on here sometimes to make a point about something you have no idea about.
What I have told you is a fact, the city will include another 3 large towns that are not included in your census.
Plus if I wanted to 'beef up' my town, I would mention the man who 'found' Australia was born 200 metres from where I grew up.

Move to the coast and get a real life! You have proven nothing, you have mentioned something different to what I mentioned and some how made a point. The coast is boring as fcuk, I'd rather cut my leg off than live there, there is no place in the coast that I wouldn't be bored after 3 days. Also there is no way to make a decent living there, apart from opening tin pot companies and lying to foreigners to sell them overpriced villas. No thank you!

on the subject of lying about overpriced properties, your "quote" about Grey Towers...... It's four miles outside of Middlesborough and each house comes with security cameras, 3 rottweillers, an armour plated greenhouse, list of all nearby Priests and 3 rows of "trelliss" design razor wire ....and you have the gall to call Croatians "peasants"......If you do get to the coast, let us know and I think we could organise a welcome party to cut the other leg off too.
