How much more arrogant can you get man? I was born in Croatia, educated in Croatia, worked in Croatia and lived most of my life in Croatia, until I got married to an Englishman and moved to England. Are you telling me that you know and understand Croatia, from all the angles, negative and positive, better than I do?

now i'll come up with another general observation there isn't one universal truth about how croatia (or any country really) is. there are many different perspectives because we all have different backgrounds. those who are open to new things may learn more about croatia, those who aren't will only get frustrated reading different opinions. it's only natural that perspective of someone who's only moved to the country few years ago and is trying to live and work here is different from someone who's never lived here but only visited and is emotionally attached to the country. and that is different from someone who's lived and worked here and then moved out or someone who's lived and is still living here... etc etc... not to mention it depends so much on the type of the work people do.

Of course everyone has their own individual experience. As far as I'm concerned you can air your views however you like. What I will not take is another person putting me down for my views, just beacuse some of them happen to be positive. I will also not be called a Croat in a derogatory way. I'm sorry, but I hold people accountable for that kind of behaviour.

Glad to see david's Zagreb-centrism is still flowing strong, plus that he's becoming one of the mob. There are others posting here now and again who are: a) not British, b) not sheltering in the cities (well, technically Knin is Croatia's capital but I won't argue for that now).
Croatia is a great place, as is Ireland, Germany, KSA and so on, and as well as pointing out negatives, it's important to point out positives, balanced discussion is all important and vital to development. If we all though the same it'd be a pretty boring place to live, almost like Dubrovnik (heehee)

I think the main thing is to communicate and have a laugh too.
Its these abusive yanks that take things too far on this site, the rest of us are at least cultured and intelligent:)
OK, I have been distracted too much by typing on here..... I am on a mission to get more stars by my name but so far I still have only one.
Godbless Anna for putting up with all the rif-raf on here.

in fact when I came on here the discussions were a little mundane, so I thought a little s**t storm would pick things up. I added a little sarcasm and some matches and voila! we have ignition!
But OK, now we are all mature I will stick to real and adult issues.
You have to admit that the posting have been more interesting in the last few days? I did infact post some helpful info too, so I think I should have 5 stars now and not only 2.

hey pip...what was useful? when you said all croatians are fake catholics who wank to .,.,.,.,.,.,.?
i love it when people use the word "all".
Dave: sorry, that was pre 911. America is different now. You wouldn't understand so i would appreciate you refraining from commenting on our foreign policies thank you kind sir. Just because you work for a military contractor in bosnia and the middle east for America doesn't qualify you to comment on politics and I'm sure the real work you do is classified so don't go shooting yourself in the foot by releasing classified information, that might get GW mad at you and you won't get to go hang out with him on his ranch in Texas like the good kids who go with the program.

yes I did write about the PAL systems I knwo as I shipped my TV over from the UK, so I replied. I also wrote about the passport thing and travelling with different passports and the legal implications. I am an Angel.
God Bless Me (But I am still 3 stars short)
