British Chips, yes I agree, not fries, what are fries? Skinny little evil pests with no taste. Mosquitos, yes I agree with atavus!, the little nasty beasts, is there a God? I don't think so, not when he/she invented mosquitos. What are they for?

Mosquitos are for population control. They are responsible for more human deaths than any other creature. Australian chips are the best !!

Nothing! Bez is clearly bored.
Most of the UK still use inches, feet, yards, miles, pounds, ounces, pints, gallons, fahrenheit, acres, chains, furlongs, firkins, cubic-inch cars....yudda....yudda?
In the UK you can by 25 yards of 6mm cable, or 2 metre lengths of 1/2 inch copper pipe. Even tyres (tires to you guys over the pond) are expressed in mm and inches on the same tyre - eg: 235mm radial for a 15inch rim.
That's my 0.02 Kuna's worth!

Australian chips are the best because they are somewhere between the fat soggy british chip and the crispy skinny fries.
Are you saying it's a good thing that the uk never managed to fully convert to the metric system Ribo ?

I shall defend the soggy chip with.... errr....with..... ummmm......rhetoric! Imperial versus metric? No defence really. Metric has to be the way to go. It's a bit of a dig at my home country in that they (we?... freudian?) have both systems now. At least the USA sticks mostly to the old system. In the UK, there are laws to stop people selling frruit and veg by the pound, all that did was to get people's dander up and make them all the more stubborn about it. The weather reports have now dropped farenheit, you can't buy petrol other than in litres. Most scales have both pounds and kilos but travel is all about miles and MPH. People don't generally know how many litres their car takes to go 100Km, they know MPG - which is strange in view that they don't know how many gallons they just pumped. I reckon it will be fully metric by AD 2400. Some people say the imperial system is part of our heritage. If that's the case then so is ricketts, scurvy and hooliganism. S'crap innit! What about driving on the left side of the road then?
