PS Anna's post re balkanbabe had nothing to do with me. And now the poll about my age has gone too- Anna, I thought that was funny is it too late to restore?

Yeah, it is too late to restore, sorry. I just felt that it was a bit too personally directed, "let's all have a laugh at this person", even if it wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

I took it as part of Capio's war effort- we are at war currently, but probably having a ceasefire now. There was nothing much going on the forum yesterday, and that's why I wound him up too.
Sorry Nick, Rib and upthevilla for sidetracking the thread.

Nessun Dorma may not be a real football song but it was used with great effect during the World Cup in 1990. Those were the days.
No premier league this weekend because of the international games. Saturday nights fixtures should ensure goals which should make up for Wednesday nights game which Croatia win 1-0.
Andorra Vs England (Saturday 8:00pm Croatian Time) Croatia v Kazakhstan (Saturday 8:15pm Croatian Time)
Croatia Vs England (Wednesday 9:00pm Croatian Time)

Just reading report that England fans could not sell out their ticket allocation for the first two games? I find that very surprising especially here in Croatia..............apathy already or a weak ££££

There's a 25 year waiting list to become a member of England travel club. Link?

It was in Wednesday Telegraph England fans stay away from World Cup qualifiers Next Wednesday, just 2,700 followers - one the smallest groups of travelling fans for a competitive England away match in the modern era - will be at the crunch test in Croatia. By Alistair Grant Last Updated: 1:36AM BST 03 Sep 2008 The FA admitted they could have taken up an allocation as high as 20,000 for the Andorra game, while they have been forced to return 1,200 unsold tickets for the Croatia match. A spokesman said: "We could have had just about as many tickets as we liked for the Andorra game, while our allocation for Croatia was 3,900." England's previous Andorra away game in March 2007, also at Barcelona's Olympic Stadium, was attended by more than 10,000 England fans, with ex-manager Steve McClaren roundly abused as his side limped to a 3-0 Euro 2008 qualifier win. This time, the 55,000-capacity Olympic Stadium will be virtually empty as just 6,300 fans make the trip, despite the chance of a late-summer holiday. Just 2,700 will travel to Zagreb next Wednesday for the Croatia game, down from 4,000 when England lost 2-0 there in an October 2006 Euro 2008 qualifier. The new double fans' snub comes after Wembley had more than 20,000 empty seats for the awful 2-2 August 20 friendly draw with the Czech Republic, after which Fabio Capello's side were booed off. Capello's first match as England coach, the 2-1 win against Switzerland in February, was watched by 86,857 fans at Wembley - but it has been downhill ever since. link to the 25 year wait list?? Todays telegraph also indicates the travel 'englandfans' club membership scheme has dropped by around 40%
