Agricultural buildings on (I assume) agricultural land.

"Croatia - Rise in livestock numbers 25 Feb 2010"
I am assuming that they are not talking about "people" here ;D
After all they tend to treat their people like cattle so .........
"Provisional results of a December 2009 census reveal the numbers of pigs and poultry have increased compared to the previous year, while numbers of cattle, sheep and goats were down." Maybe to do with the ease of keeping pigs and poultry? They do require a lot less space and are somewhat easier to get onto the dinner table in the end.

"If the land is classified as orchard or vineyard, is it agricultural? " It is also now a little harder to re classify a ploughed field (Oranica) agricultural land.
If you want to change to use into an orchard or a vineyard, you must now plant the proposed area first. You used to be able to do it the other way around.
(A vineyard or orchard category allows you to build a small 40sqM property, oranica does not)

My god every time I read anything new, it sounds worse for me.
sometimes I just sit and resign to the fact I spent my entire retirement on nothing and now they will somehow end up stealing my land and nothing I can do about it.
Now I read this. ........... I dont know how some of you still stay there waiting for the next thing they are going to do to you. All of my property is Agriculture.
Recently I dropped the price......I told him I didnt care how much money I lost I just want out of that place once and for all.............and seems it has not come to their deal yet for selling the property. But I will question my friend from Hvar selling it.
The nightmare continues.

"Imagine being a buyer, Croatian or Foreign, and you want to buy some land. You reach an agreement with the owner, only to find that you then have to bid against who knows how many others and pay who knows what price!".........<<<<<< Madgolfer I am lost....... what if you dont like the bids? <<<<< my finding the laws in English answered that, at least you will have the choice. If I wrote down all the ways I have been screwed by this country one way or another Everyone except for folks here would surely call me a liar........ because it would just be hard to imagine!!! Now today paranoid again thanks to my friendly foreign government, I have e-mailed to hire a lawyer, cost myself more money, just to be sure I dont have nothing left after all of this. remember me the positive guy that believed it could be done........... now I feel like Choink and feel very stupid I did not fully believe him........as he said "It will never stop" I have never said this before because I loved living there. but..............To Anyone Out There Thinking of Moving to Croatia, bringing their hard earned money. STAY HOME..........you will regret it.

Not too fussed about all this. It'll stop anyone buying the land near my bit. ha ha. it'lll also stop idiotic speculation on the land prices too.
Anybody heard about the subsidy you get for capital investment in agriulture including purchase of land. I heard you can get up to 25% of your costs back. anyone heard how this is done. I'm in the Split / Vis area? good advice earns you a big euro note.
