Hang in there squire, and when you're well enough I suggest you start a program of handstand training. Uses all your muscles but in the opposite way you normaly would.

In short, the pain is indescribeable and mostly inescapeable unless your stomach can handle the super-strong drugs and their horrible side effects, which mine cannot. Please take a tip from my continuing experience quote] Why not morphium patches , pf ? Cheers & best of luck !

in my case, 100% so far. Still got enough pain to need a drip but the light at the end of the tunnel appears a little closer. Having just spent 36 hours "perched" on one shoulder and one hip because there was a drain in my back, it is abs heaven today just being able to lay down flat. such simple things but when you lose them.......

Having just returned from Mr Mrs Ribs abode, I have just encountered a rather strange Croatian custom......... After surgery, it appears that they give you a glass test tube, with stopper/plug, full of whatever they have taken out of you! It reminded me of those canvy island colored tubes full of sand you used to be able to buy on holiday. Strangely weird and rather disgusting if you ask me. But it is something to put on your mantlepiece along with other bits and bobs worthy of discussion. Perhaps Croatians require "proof" that they did indeed do something while you were under the knife. ;D Good to see and hear you sounding so much better chap!

is it like when the garage changes a part on your car and they offer you the old part to take home?

We got snowed in this morning here in Zagreb, so at 7.00 am (yes, there is life at such ungodly hours), was out impressing the neighbours with my skill at back breaking snow shovelling (I know they're all watching). Cleared the driveway, the car and pavement out front the house for all the little boys and girls on their way to school (although they looked as though they couldn't care less). At least the garbage man was happy that I had cut a path from the road to by bin. Fun to see on the news yesterday all the zagrebites ranting and raving about how bad the snow is, while the farmers where sipping their rakia, chomping on their smoked meat and sitting by the fire without a care in the world (at least yesterday). Doesn’t the modern man know that snow is a normal fact of life? So much for global warming. Anyway, does anyone know where a man can buy one of those snow blowers (size of a mower) in Croatia? After this morning, and past snowed in days this winter, I think I want one. Will add it to my collection of leaf blower, hedge trimmer, lawn mower, microwave, Flat screen TV, internet, blue ray collection and all mod. comms. (here's hoping my next visa application goes through, or it will be a nightmare to move).
