My pre-teen son met them, got kisses, went on TV and I'm thinking... oh, to be young again... why can't it be me?
They sang pretty good at Eurovision, but not good enough on the night, plus there was a few other stronger performances.

Carol... not sure if all the finals where the "best of the bunch", but as you say its plan as day to see that it’s not really about talent as much as geography. The German girl did ok, although I did vote for another (in my mind, as in reality I didn't want to waste 5.56 kuna on a SMS to vote my mind, when I could use that money to buy a little over half a cup of coffee and sit for hours at my local mall doing nothing). But you can pretty much tell how each country will vote, especially the Balkan nations and the northern former Russian states. On cue, each year they vote the same. This year, I think Germany got a few to many votes for my liking, as thought the chap with the guitar song and a few others did just as well. Why I didn't like the German winner so much was because she sounded too much like some current day singers, a bit of a copycat. But, for her age and performance she was in that "top bunch". As a Brit, I was ashamed at what the UK sent to Eurovision (especially last year or the year before with that cheesy Easy jet or Ryan Air flight song), and just like our football team this year, they sucked. Anyway, we don't have to wait to long for the next Eurovision, when the stars come out, I waste another few nights in front of the TV, and waste that 5.56 Kuna in another cup of coffee.

roughly translated: 'lako je sve' means "pretty as hell", but "lack of svedish" or something like that. Hehe!
But, using the all in all Google translater it means: 'Although all' - A bit deep for my simple mind.

true, they're like a dime a dozen in Croatia, a nation filled with pretty good looking woman... but it's all look, don't touch... and they love their shoes.
