Paul, I don't mind if you use what I have posted on here... the only problem is that I deleted a lot of it at the start of the summer. (I was interviewing for a job that required discretion, so I destroyed the evidence! Then I didn't get the job anyway..!) C'est la vie!
I used to have a lot of pages on my site which tried to give useful info but I took them off-line one by one because whatever you write today becomes out of date tomorrow e.g. hooray Wizzair flies to Split... oops now they've cancelled...and now they are back again. Or its easy to get a visa, and what you need is.... now its harder but still possible... now its clearly impossible... now its eased again.
There is a poster here (MRHappy - I am talking about you!) who just took some weird pleasure in trawling my site to look for mistakes or out of date info so that he could say that I was misleading "the punters" (as he calls my clients).

I am reminded of a post recently where someone stated that it is illegal to give legal advice unless you are qualified. Maybe there should be a disclaimer or something on the totalcroatia site (and this one perhaps) saying that anything said here is not legal advice and you should always consult a lawyer.

Maybe some people - particularly estate agents - would consider that encouraging people to buy property based partially on false information was acceptable. I am not one of them though.

Hi Riki, good point thanks for that. Am sure there are some frustrated buyers who would argue that it should be illegal to give legal advice in Croatia if you are qualified... It has certainly been an interesting viewpoint into the legal world doing property over here. Carol, ok thanks, will trawl through the remaining pearls... OIB and 10 best beaches on Hvar should be live tonight. Your reasons for reducing the content on your site (fast changing info) are one of the motivations for my idea. If the site is interactive and current, content can be re-written (info being the core business, not property sales), or at worst, an update posted remotely. One of the probs of Croatian info sites is being current - the idea is that www.total-croatia.com will address that, at least in part. Out of interest, apart from this excellent forum, where do people search for Cro info in English? Cheers Paul

i think there may be a loophole here as the Croatian government has no jurisdiction over what is published on the internet especially if the author, ISP and server are all located outside Croatia. At the that point all it can realistically do is tell people residing in Croatia not to look at it!
