How did you get it so cheap? I was quoted 1500 Kn. Is it a local Zagreb one, as I'll go to them to save 400 kn.

I paid 1,307.70 kn yesterday (plus the standard court fee 250 and 100 NN) yesterday.
Are Split public notaries just more expensive or something?

The 1050kn was just the notary fees, it was plus the court fee 250 and 100 for NN. We do use them a lot, so maybe I got a discount. They even opened up their offices last friday (nat holiday) for us. I thinks its the notaries making the most money here, not the govt. Wish I could earn 100kn a minute!

Ok, if you add it all up it comes to around 1500 kn, so it looks pretty standard country wide, unless you've found a accountant crook.

Be careful if you are using the FO office in Milton Keynes as I was told that there is a 24 hour turn-round for Business Customers. That's inconvenient if you live 2 hours away like I do but I would think extremely difficult for somebody from Newcastle or Exeter.

i used it but as a member of the public, not a business customer, and it took less than an hour.
I wasn't sure which category i was in until i saw the fees 3x for business customers and it helped me decide

I have spoken with our bookkeeper and she still knows nothing !!! It is one week before the dead line and still bookkeepers are unaware, incredible.
Just to get this straight. If the company is 100 % owned by a foreign company, but has 2 directors in Croatia, there is no need to reregister ? Am I correct ?

Mambo, it the other way around. If your company has two or more owners, then you "have" to register, and it's not something your account does for you but the notary. You will need original paper stating how much each owner invested in the stat-up. If you have more then one owner, then get working on it. It takes at least 10 days to do (unless you do the running around), as they have to put something in the newspaper for 7 days and asking if there are any other secret owners (or something), then get papers from court.

Mambo, you WILL need to re register if you have more than one director.

Carol I used the business section because I was getting Power of Attorney for our Croatian Lawyer to act on our behalf in re-registering our Croatian company. Could we have done this using the Personal section?
Many thanks for any assistance.

@ madgolfer,
The directors are not the owners, they are just director in name, the owner is one company, not 2, so if I understand Crojoe correctly we would not have to reregister. But if I understand you we still have to reregister. What a mess and what a b.l.o.o.d.y. shame that the government is not communicating this law to bookkeepers etc.

@ Valiant,
That is the good part about us..............we are closing down !!! So, worst case scenario would be if we would have to re-register while we are closing down !

I am both owner / invester of my company as is my wife (figures), but then we're both directors. But this law is about who the owners are and what percentage each has invested. The fact of the matter they already know what percentage owners put in as at time of formnig the company via the court system each owner (at the time) had to state how much they invested. Since it is 20,000 Kuna, most owners invested 10,000 each or 50%/50%. Any money then put into the company after that is normally done so as a loan. But once again, a simple form letter would done just fine with owners signature and company stamp, but way to simple and makes no money, so they have to complicate it. It's a pure scam, short and sweet.

I have had cllients use both public , private use and a busines use in Milton keynes, all clients have been told diffrent things., some even on the same day, some have neem able to do the process in 20 minutes and others have it posted back to them the next day and 1 client had to return themselves 2 days later. It seems the Milton keynes office should close a few more mondays because there training is terrible. The people went with the same piece of paper, same details, same translation, in affect exactly the same Punomoc and i have so far receieved 5 different versions and answers. I even wrote to Milton keynes and some clients printed it , took it with them, and then they were told different.
