What a delight to see the English cricket team doing so well in Australia. ;D
No luck involved, instead a genuinely good team effort all round and a crushing victory winning by a very wide margin.
Its nice to have a reason to be proud for a change.
Well done lads, the ashes stay in England. ;D

OUCH! oh MG, yes, we have been watching the Ashes Series down here with our hands over our faces, shaking our heads and looking to the heavens in disbelief! Deb

We felt so bad for thrashing the Aussies in the test series, we just had to let them win the one day games Maybe we will get another go at them in the WC ;D

...and maybe , just : maybe , Andy The Scotsman can also , this week still , win something DownUnda , too ( seeing just how useless the Englishmen have become in tennis , of lately ! ) ?

Andy is one of those "sweaties" who measures his own scottishness on the basis of how un-English he is. As a consequence, he misses out on having English fans and has lost gob loads of sponsorships. Jackie Stewart was much wiser and just as "scotch".

Jackie Stewart was much wiser and just as "scotch". Actually I doubt if Andy has lost any sponsorship at all due to a comment as to how he had no time for England's 4 yearly short lived sojourn to foreign fields only to come back with their tails between their legs. I bet he does not lose much sleep over what anyone says and as he is a Hibs supporter then he really doesn't have much going for him these days in terms of football ;D But the 'English' media love him until he loses and then he is Scottish, whereas he is now Britains best hope to actually win something significant at tennis since women stopped wearing long skirts when playing at Wimbledon And as for Dumbarton's finest son, then I will indeed doff my cap to your comment about a 'wise' man- but a Scot through and through and not afraid to show his tartan on his sleeve! Scots are glorious in defeat, while English just try to blame someone else Funnily enough just noted some comments on the europsort website about Murray and Stewart ;D

In the end , he just didn't have the heart , the guts , the tactic , nor the strokes ! Wiped out in 3 sets , for the 3rd time around , in the all-important final !!! Reportedly , 3 other very well-known players of modern era all lost their first 3 Grand Slam finals ( before coming on , to win their 1st and only one - i.e. Goran , obviously ! - or a few.more , like Agassi..) so , maybe , there's still some hope for the new , highly-overpaid Oxshott ( Surrey ) resident , with a nice-looking girlfriend and a cute doggie , yet ?

Not quite as highly overpaid as some of the other residents

the trouble with Andy Murray is that he is no Nadal and no Federer and has a limited range of shots. I'm glad Djokovic won he just adjures himself more to the people.

Yeah ! I think he's quite a good fun , versatile , enjoyable , capable and well-humoured ( unlike themost of the Croats I ever experienced !? he also behaves better and swears very much less than our Goran The Wimbowdon Hero and he pulls some aaamaaazing , non-insulting funny faces and grimaces , well-done , mate ! ) ; but , for whichever reason , he's not much liked by the others in the top 20-30 ATP players ; reportedly , our much exausted , abused , wasted , used up , thrown-away and dismissed Ana ( Ivanovic ) is now , of lately , trying to make a play/try/go for him ? Let's see , shall we ?

Do ya really think so ? That savage , unpolished , mad-about-himself egomaniac Verdasco finished her off ( sort off ) in more ways than one , then , when tired of her ( who then - and now ? - still was/is madly enamoured with him , well : who could ever understand something Krazy like that ? ) , dumped her next : for the blondie Caroline Wozniacki ( just a few brief night-stands , reportedly ) , then for the dark-ish Argentinian no-hoper Gisella Dulko ( at least they 2 could chatter , squabble and uhhh-ahhh in Espagnol , jointly ! ) ; Ana then tried , on the re-bound , some revenge/s , with a few well-to-do "businessmen" ( read : inheritors , of wealthy parents' monies ) , many more one-night stands , practice in reality ; then she acted all innocent again , returned to Belgrade , to , ostensibly : study at the University there ( what would all that be about/for , I ask of you , with tears in my old , tired eyes ? ) Then someone with a slight bit more sense prevailed , told her to go back to pro-tennis , to forget the silly balloon-shaped dresses and to collect maximum appearances' and sponsorships' monies ; since then , she's been "acting" ( as in : theatre/TV/movies , but : not in sport ! ) all super-positive , hyper-motivated and also unable to help being the actual main joke of the international WTA tour : ex- No1 and ex-Roland Garros champ , losing to virtual unknowns , every 1st round of any tournament worth reporting.... so , The Joker has just gotta be THE next Best-est chance , for her , then ? Yeah : simply beautiful , she still is , or can be ( when she cares to appear so...) My 2 overvalued EUrocents for this sleepless a.m. , for what it's worth....

well I guess its all gone to her head, but I don't think you can be so fussy. Can't all be like Graf and Natratilova. Still you clearly know more on this subject than I do.
