Back on topic - Croatians who think they know everything are really annoying. I'm from South Africa and sometimes when I talk about the violence and crime there I get 'we wouldn't have a problem, they haven't met Croatians yet, we'll just beat anyone up who tries to steal our car', etc. It's so funny as they have NO idea what they are talking about, having never been there, but they are convinced they are right and will argue passionately about it.
I think it is a lack of self confidence that is disguised by arrogance and shouting loudly. If someone proves you are wrong, your whole world will crumble. I have a young guy helping on the farm and whenever I tell him something that he's done wrong, he will argue that he is actually right (example, I told him to take the hosepipe to the barn to fill up the 4 water buckets rather than carry the full buckets 200m back to the barn - the hosepipe is lighter). No no, it's much easier to fill the buckets up by the house. We argued for a bit which was pointless until he realised he couldn't win and said 'my way is right and that's how I will do it and if you don't like it find someone else'. No problem mate!

I've noticed, yes... How must I feed my horses (imported from Belgium, the only ones of their kind in Croatia, but yet they KNOW anyway :-)), absolutely what kind of chocolates I'm supposed to make (for people who have never, ever bought anything from me...), etc etc. Interesting :-))
I have the same problem at home, when I point out that this or that might be done at the same time as something else, so as not to be more difficult later... preaching in the wind :-)) (and one month later the empty cement bags are being scattered by the dogs playing with them, so instead of 5 minutes to pick up everything and put it away, it'll take at least an hour to pick up the pieces all over the place, and in six months we'll still find pieces of paper all over anyway :-)) And no, I am NOT picking them up :-)) Yes, I'm stubborn :-))
If it's just plain, stupid advice, I say "yes, thanks" and do as I please. If it's from someone I'm paying, then it can get ugly :-) I'm not "bossy" but some things have to be done a certain way and that's it... :-)
