Can anyone give me a website where I can find a list of Croatian academic and professional title abbreviations in English?
eg.
'dip. ing' 'univ. bacc.ing.mech.' 'mag.ing.nav.arch.'
etc.
I know it's obvious what these stand for but the English equivalents are?
Thanks

Thanks I think they stand for: fat cat salaries, opinionated, full of hot air and not a clue in the world how to run a profit making business.

Martin, I have checked various CRO websites, forums and not much help. I am still searching and will let you, if I find anything.

'mag.ing.nav.arch.' etc. I know it's obvious what these stand for but the English equivalents are? Thanks Among the abbreviations above, only dipl. ing. (dipl.inž.) is used in Croatia. Here are the basic translations: dipl.ing = B. Sc. (Eng.) dipl.oec = B. Sc. (Econ.) mr. sc = M.Sc. dr. sc = Dr.Sc. (Ph. D.) Recently, the students finishing 4-year course are considered B.A., while the ones finishing harder or longer courses are considered M.A. When I graduated, I was considered a B.A. Sc, but later it was decided that M.A. Sc describes it better, so now I can call myself M.A. ;D . .

I don't think there exists an official list of titles translation to English and other academic titles. What do you need it for, anyways?
