Hi there,
Hoping that someone would be able to provide a recommendation for a Croatian speaking UK based solicitor with experience in Croatian property law.
My father (UK based with UK and Croatian citizenship) is in the process of selling property in Zagreb and, not having knowledge of Croatian property law, we would like to engage a solicitor to assist us with the process and make sure everything is above board.
Thanks in advance for any help provided and apologies if this request has been covered in a previous thread, I'm new to the site.
Cheers,
Nick

Cheers, Nick May I suggest you purchase a ticket and fly to Zagreb (both Croatian airlines and Easyjet fly from London to Zagreb), then get a solicitor here. Trying to find one in UK (if that is even possible) will be very costly. Your other option is to choose one of the agents on this board or find another to represent you. Search out Karl on this site as he does Zagreb listings and can help you (being that he is English and in the property agent biz.). There is also madgolfer (another fine agent and from UK) and of course Carol (who lives in the UK, which might suit your situtaion better and has a wealth of info in selling estates), so any one of them I suggest you search then PM them for their details.

Nicks23, i think you will find that the buyer has to make sure that everything is above board, not the seller. all the seller has to do is put some paperwork together, read and understand the contract and deliver the property after receiving the money. (i.e. you don't need a lawyer but the buyer should get one).
