I think my inlaws might apply for that. A pool would really add to the appeal of their country retreat.
Where's the money coming from though ? Can we expect the introduction of a new tourist tax to cover the costs ? Maybe just a hike in water and electricity prices will be enough. Oh, we already had those rise.

The incentive targets hard working Croats that help to develop Croatia as a top tourist destination and it is not targeted to fill the coffers of property owners in general. It is too early to tell but I am sure hard working Croatian workers represented by heroic Croatian government will assure the lawful investment is supported by tax offset, tax deduction or ideally accelerated depreciation.
Croatian worker is taxed to the bone and deserves responsible financial management of their hard earned tax money.

Well, in new 2013 Croatian people will pray for the end of the English occupation of Scotland and the end of the unjust rule from London. I am sure you will only then understand the feelings of the Croats. Wish everybody happy New Year and to the Scottish people lots of success in their fight for freedom. |

Well, in new 2013 Croatian people will pray for the end of the English occupation of Scotland and the end of the unjust rule from London. I am sure you will only then understand the feelings of the Croats. Wish everybody happy New Year and to the Scottish people lots of success in their fight for freedom. As a patriotic and proud Scot I would be startled if this so called 'independence' occurs. It would be a disaster and Scotland's economy would go downhill to the level of Ireland, Greece, etc. Even the planned 'referendum' is biased as only residents in Scotland are allowed to vote (so that rules out Connery) and the SNP (led by by someone who actually looks like his surname) are even changing the rules to allow 16/17 year old to vote- remember this is a group of people who cannot vote for a change in government, watch an X rated movie, visit a pub legally, drive a car, smoke cigarettes, etc, etc, but can actually vote for 'independence' and a change in a 300+ year old 'partnership'- laughable indeed  Fortunately I thnk common sense will occur - after all Scotland is not 'ruled' by London- Scots are in positions of influence and actually 'control' Great Britain to an extent already. Salmonds 'tin pot' dictatorship dreams are a danger to the average Scot and will see an exodus of people not seen since the Highland Clearances  |

Even if it's true, it's still pointless. I have yet to see a measure of new government that has any substance. We have replaced a government which was clueless and immoral with a government which is totally incompetent. I guess that could be called progress.  . |

The measure is in the process of public consultation. Once they feel the pulse, they will make up their minds. It could also be a government PR, you never know.

mh your last post was the most sensible thing you have said. The Croatian government is an easy target to have a crack at...but...99% of government's in the EU have just driven their countries into massive debt and problems in the last 4 years. Governments are no longer left to govern their countries, and that will become more apparent when the fiscal union comes into effect.
