Hi,
Can anyone tell me if the currency exchange centres are easy to find in Split?
I'm heading there this week and I usually find the rates of exchange much better locally than in the UK so thought I'd bring GBP with me.
Thanks,
Matt

It used to be that the exchange offices used to offer very similar rates but they've changed this year. There is a new mjenacnica opened in Trg braće Radića just off the Riva that, in my opinion, is offering the best rates this year. Strangely, banks are giving very good rates this year, better than the majority of the exchange offices.
Slobodna Dalmacija did an article about fx rates this week and they found a sizeable disparity in the rates around town - I think the figure was 233 kuna on a 1000 euro exchange.

Thanks for the information. I will try to have a look at the ones you suggested.
Slightly different topic, but is it easy to get a SIM card that will give me 3G internet access on my phone? Going to be in Croatia for quite a few weeks so thought it would be easier.
I think T-mobile has a package. So just need to find a shop that I can get a SIM card.

I bought a T-Mobile USB modem from a newsagent here - I think they also sell just the SIM card. I use that for my laptop, and can also put the SIM in my phone and tablet for 3G internet. They do unlimited data for 10 Kuna/day.

Yes they can also sell you just a SIM card and it costs approx. 5 eur.
