It would be extremely difficult for them, I could be wrong but the website is registered in new york and has American address.. The Croatian authorities would have serious jurisdiction problems. This is one of the reason that foreign owned websites such as owners direct, holiday lettings etc get away with advertising rental properties that do not have the correct licence to rent and are in fact illegal and foreign based web sites that offer property for sale regardless of ownership papers, energy certificates etc This is also one of the reason that many guests dont know that they have to pay a tourist tax, for instance. The owners of the web sites dont care about the laws in a foreign country, they are protected where they are, or where their web company is based, They just want people to pay to advertise on them. For a Croatian company, with its web base in Croatia to advertise a property for rent that does not have a licence they will soon be prosecuted as its easy.
