I have to take issue with the person who said Croats love sport, Football is said to be the most loved sport here and barely anybody goes to games.
It is also rare to see people playing football; I think the Dalmatians like football much more than people from Zagreb.

Yes, it's very common to see people here in Dalmatia playing soccer, or rugby. Tennis and badminton also seem to be popular, in the summer you have to book the tennis court in Marjan Park in advance. Basketball is also HUGELY popular, especially among teens.
Dalmatians also like water sports, as well as boating. Even in the winter here, I can see many sailboats from my window on good days.

I live in Knin but am Irish originally, actually I should say.
I saw both games, I was at the Iceland one, but I was disappointed by the standard of play, Croatia have such good talents available but it's just not clicking.
What are you doing for your project? Is it on the Kostelic family?
